Rated 5 out of 5 by Dan camping I used my new backpack for Boy Scouts. It has easy to get to pocket's and is light weight for hiking. January 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by TommyG This pack is durable and comfortable This pack is my favorite of all of the ones I have owned. I'm really hard on things, so that's a pretty extensive list. This pack is fairly big when considering the internal bag space, but when considering the usage of the frame it gets considerably larger. I am a trail guide and need to carry a lot of stuff. I can strap a sleeping system, tent, shovel, axe, and fishing gear on the outside while still maintaining access to the front compartments and external pockets. I overload this thing every time I go out, yet this pack holds true and stays with me on even the toughest trips. If I ever break this pack (which I expect I will at some point) I will be buying another one. September 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by scout kid the best pack i've ever had Great pack for hiking, fits very comfortably and can be adjusted very easily. Gives you separate compartments inside and outside the pack. Also a great pack for asthmatics as it has a zipper pocket on the waist belt for inhalers. June 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by ScoutPack Field and Stream Backpack My son is a scout and needed a hiking backpack. After looking at all options and what a good quality backpack costs we went with the Field and Stream hiking backpack with frame. My son really loves his new hiking backpack and looks forward to campout with the scouts to use it. May 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by FreddyL A great buy for the money ! Our cousin used this backpack on a 2-month trek through the wilds of Nicaragua, and was favorably impressed with its durability, load capacity, and quality. It performed as well as other backpacks costing much more, which other hikers were using. A great buy for the money ! October 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ryguy Great overall product for the price This pack has been great. It has plenty of storage and is extremely comfortable. The amount of room makes it easy to balance heavier items for a more comfortable trip. It doesn't look as cool as an internal frame pack, however it is very practical. Great deal for around a hundred bucks! September 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by the Seeker Not exactly what I expected I first became aware of this external frame backpack in a Dick's store in Las Vegas. I tried it on and walked around the store to see how it fit. I decided to buy it online. The pack was $129 in the store, $99 with free shipping on line. However, when it arrived, it was not the same as the one in the store, it was like a smaller version, less padded hip belt and shoulder straps, and it seemed smaller than the one in the store. It was disappointing but still a good pack. I just wish I would have bought the one in the store. This one will work for me for short overnighters, but not much more. This would be a good choice for a smaller person. April 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Out in the woods Good bag I am using it for everything. Camping mostly but I found it can be used with my motorcycle to carry groceries even though I don't think it was designed for that. Have not test it on long camping trip but it works for the short day trips. August 13, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Buckman1 Great External Frame Backpack I can not give a tried review as of this writing due to the fact I have not used it yet, but I can tell you that for the price you can NOT go wrong if you want a true backpack that has many, many features that you might find on a $200 - $300 pack. This pack has plenty of separated pockets, along with many different ways you can adjust the pack to custom-fit to your size and comfort. Don't hesitate to purchase this pack! July 27, 2014
