Rated 1 out of 5 by Free Thinker 2nd Rawlings bat to break --- Only lasted a few practices
Out of the store this product looked the part but...
Within a few days of use the product cracked in the handle area.
No abuse, just normal use.
This is the second Rawlings bat we have purchased for our son in the past month. The first one was a different model. It lasted about 3 weeks. The cost of both was about 120 dollars.
To quote Dick's on-line description:
"This wooden baseball bat is constructed of Adirondack? Pro Walnut Ash wood to offer an incredible feel, dugout-durability..."
I think not...

Bought this bat for my son to practice with, he likes to swing wood. You can't beat the price for a quality bat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jen B Great bat, great price
We purchased this bat for our 12 year old son. This bus the first wood bat he's used. For a first time user this is a great bat and you can't beat the price. He's been using it regularly (we are at the batting cages 4-5 times a week) both live pitching and soft toss, for about 2 weeks and no complaints.

Hits heavy, solid wood. Handle is a bit thicker for my liking but I wanted this bat in my arsenal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by radio317 Good bat, good price
I bought this bat before reading all the negative reviews and I'm pretty glad I did. First I haven't swung a full size bat in years so I wasn't going to put out any kind of serious money, so the price is the first thing that caught my eye. I've mostly been using it for BP off the tee or soft toss and this bat has great pop and a decent sized sweet spot.
This bat does exactly what I need it to do and stood up great after 1000+ BP hits. It's a great first bat for us getting back into the game and don't want to shell out the big bucks, but if you're a serious player buying it for a main bat then you get what you pay for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cacioa Spend the Extra Money !!
This bat lasted one at bat. Realizing the cost was inexpensive and we needed it for the last game of the fall, it broke on the first swing. Grains are extremeIy loose. will not last Highschool or above. May be ok for little league. Stick to Marucci

Cheap bat used one time (six strikes on the fat part of the barrel ). Pulled it out for next game and it was cracked. Rawlings is difficult to get a hold of and has tricky rules for returns.

Rated 4 out of 5 by wsg132 Good bat for what I bought it for
I bought it as a cheap replacement for the expensive maple bat I broke in the cage. It is relatively inexpensive and works adequately for what I purchased it for.
