-7.5 may not work for 10-11 yr. old hitters THe Rawlings Velo Ash Wood Bat -7.5 is fine for Little League. I'd recommend it for 8-9 yr. olds. I'd go with more of a drop for older children. Such as -5. (In fact, bat manufacturers should do a better job of marking and labeling wood bats.) It's not substantial enough for the training/usage I was seeking for my 11 yr. old son.
