GREAT BAT!!! My son went from an Easton Reflex to this Plasma bat...Difference was like night and day...The Easton bat ALWAYS stung his hands unless the ball was hit EXACTLY on the sweet spot...Also, the Easton sounded dead unless the sweet spot was exactly hit...The day we purchased this bat (today) I took him to a local high school batting cage...My 7 year old was hitting the ball much harder even when not contacting the sweet spot...The ball really pops off of this bat!!!...We both noticed that this bat didn't sound the same as an alloy bat---After all, it's NOT going to sound the same due to being 100% composite...After I got tired of throwing (I'm 51 years old and my back cramped up) my son hit from a tee for another 50 or so strokes...Again---The ball really pops off of this bat!!!...Both of us can't hardly wait for the next game!!! One more thing---The 2013 version of this bat has a white grip and gets filthy looking the first time it's used...The 2012 has the more preferable black grip... May 4, 2013

Buy a better bat. My son and another kid on his 7-8 year old machine pitch team have this bat. Other kids on the team have tried to use the bat because it looks cool, but all of the kids complain that it stings their hands. It also has a very weird sound when it makes contact with the ball. Spend a few more dollars and buy a decent bat. April 16, 2013

I thik it is hollow The first time I went to the cages with this bat it left a lot of marks also if you don't get all the way around the ball it kills your hands no gloves or gloves. Also It only weight 18 oz and was 30 in that makes me think it is hollow. You should build a heavy er model April 2, 2013
