Rated 1 out of 5 by Baseball is Life Too much vibration
I bought this bat for my 8 year old son because they recommend it at the store. Looks really nice but stings too much. My son was complaining about it stinging but I thought it was just him. Other kids have used it and complain about the same problem

Composites are like wood, In that if you hit it off the handle it will break. They hit harder after about 200 good hits. My 7 yr old son is big and strong he has 4 composite bats all costing much more than this Plasma. It hits harder out of the wrapper than any of his other ones. The sound of a well hit composite is lack-luster at best, but this bat will put them to the fence on every good hit. To make it perfectly clear all bat manufacturers recommend that composite bats never be used in a batting cage. All of our comp bats state in the warranty that use in a batting cage will void the warranty. Most batting cage balls are much harder and will dent even alloy bats. That said, My son loves this bat, looks like we will be listing 4 like new composite bats up for bid on Ebay very soon. Good luck sluggers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ballcoach Nice bat!!!
I bought this for my 9yo son after see another child swinging one. This bat has pop. The ball really flys off this thing and for the price cant beat it. Now it doesnt have the vibration dampening that more expensive sticks have but for $60...what do you expect. My son and others have 100+ swings on it and it just gets better. After reading the other reviews trashing this bat it was apparent they didnt understand what they were buying...yes composites are hollow, yes they sound wierd when you hit them, yes they sting your hands (what bat doesnt), again it's a $60 bat...this is a great stick if you want your child swinging a Little league approved composite on a budget

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jetjockey GREAT BAT!!!
My son went from an Easton Reflex to this Plasma bat...Difference was like night and day...The Easton bat ALWAYS stung his hands unless the ball was hit EXACTLY on the sweet spot...Also, the Easton sounded dead unless the sweet spot was exactly hit...The day we purchased this bat (today) I took him to a local high school batting cage...My 7 year old was hitting the ball much harder even when not contacting the sweet spot...The ball really pops off of this bat!!!...We both noticed that this bat didn't sound the same as an alloy bat---After all, it's NOT going to sound the same due to being 100% composite...After I got tired of throwing (I'm 51 years old and my back cramped up) my son hit from a tee for another 50 or so strokes...Again---The ball really pops off of this bat!!!...Both of us can't hardly wait for the next game!!!
One more thing---The 2013 version of this bat has a white grip and gets filthy looking the first time it's used...The 2012 has the more preferable black grip...

My son and another kid on his 7-8 year old machine pitch team have this bat. Other kids on the team have tried to use the bat because it looks cool, but all of the kids complain that it stings their hands. It also has a very weird sound when it makes contact with the ball. Spend a few more dollars and buy a decent bat.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Baseball beast I thik it is hollow
The first time I went to the cages with this bat it left a lot of marks also if you don't get all the way around the ball it kills your hands no gloves or gloves. Also It only weight 18 oz and was 30 in that makes me think it is hollow. You should build a heavy er model
