The blades are smooth and pick up speed really fast. I would recommend this product to any of my friends.

I purchased this for $100 and they are better than the $150 pair which eventually fell apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by campyroller Best in-line skates for the money @ $99!
I had been "roller blading" years ago since my first pair of in-line skates (back in the early '90s). I started with Rollerblade brand since they were the first to have the adjustable level rear brake. I had recently put on my 15 year old Rollerblades and realized how much I had missed doing In-line skating as work ,and other sports had taken over my free time over the past 15 years - ie cycling , running, but with the old squeeky bearings, and worn down foot liner, it was time to get a new pair. I bought these Rollerblade Spirit Blades ON SALE for a limited time at Dicks Sporting Goods for $99! anywhere else and they're between $129-$169. They're more comfortable than the solid plastic shell type now that they're a soft top bonded to a hard shell - like a runner bonded to the platform, and with lacing, they can be tightened up for better control. these also have the quick insert/release straps found on so many higher end in-line skates and super smooth rolling 80mm wheels with ABEC7 (?) bearings, and a solid rubber brake on the end of the right boots wheel frame. The frame and shoe are made of good quality material which I think could last for years. The reason for 4 star rating vs 5 is that I found the foot liner to be lacking in any sort of support and cushioning... but for a few extra bucks, I simply bought a pair of foot liners and slipped them inside. Otherwise these are as good as other skates going for $199. These are even lighter than the old type that had a solid plastic hard shell. Do get a 1/2 size larger than your normal snug sneaker size... these have a tendency to be smaller than your shoe size. Great pair of in line skates around a hundred bucks! It has quickly motivated me to go exercise - especially with the freedom I get to go just about anywhere with them (once you're comfortable with stopping and sidewalk stepping). I honestly burn more calories more enjoyably on these in-line skates than with cycling or running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Char Very comfortable skates
Bought for my grandson (14) he said there much lighter and comfortable. I purchased these after reading other reviews and thought with price and good reviews we wood give them a try. My granddaughter (16) liked the way they looked and that they were lighter in weight than her pair at home so we bought her the same in girls a week later and she loves them.

Skates fit well, are comfortable, and are sturdily made. They definitely won't flake out on you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Archdogg Good for the price
Bought these mostly because I bought a new car I didn't want my bike rack scratching up the trunk so i figured Id get back into in line skating. I feel I got my money's worth with these; didn't take long to get back into the swing of things and they are a lot smoother and more comfortable than I remember my old skates being.
There speed is decent although I know I'm going to want some faster ones in the future.
A good skate for first timers or someone getting back into skating I only have about 5 miles on them right now hopefully they'll hold up well and i may get a 90mm pair next year. Best part is I have yet to fall.

My wife purchased these for me and I used the new roller blades this Sunday 3/24/2013 and they felt great. The wheels felt very smooth against the floor and they are very stylish. Great gift!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by baseballrob Good Starter skate
I actually bought the wrong skate, I meant to buy the Spark but picked up the wrong box. Since they were $70.00 off of msrp, I figured that I couldn't go wrong since I was basically just starting out. After about 6 1/2 hours of serious practice time, I'm getting pretty comfortable on the skates and have a feel for what they can do and can't. The frame does not adjust, they're pretty fast, not real smooth, and I need more arch support. Overall, I think this was a good choice because the next time, I'll know what type of more advanced skate to get. I had read that some advanced skaters bought this skate and really liked it. For me, I think I want some of the more advanced features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by oreodawg Awesome, great looking, amazing ride
These are really comfortable skates. Didn't even have to break them in. Got the perfect size. Really smooth ride. I have a bumpy asphalt street around my neighborhood, but you can barely hear the skates and I glide over it like I'm on ice. I used to have cruddy skates when I was younger that made so much noise and I had to use so much muscle to get going, so this was a huge improvement. Great for beginner - intermediate skates probably! On top of that, they look really cool. Sleek design. Love the green.
