My 9 year old used it only 2 times before there was a nice size dent on the barrel. Very disappointed with Demarini.

Think Again
Seems like a nice bat at a good price-point for the DeMarini brand. Must have missed the mix on the DX1 alloy that "delivers high strength and durability" on this batch. On the first at bat my nine year old son dented the bat with a single. Not impressed. Needless to say the bat is going back for another brand.

Do Not Buy
I purchased this bat for my son, he is 7 going on 8. The bat felt great to him and liked it, so I bought it. I recently picked the bat up to put in his bag and there was a dent in it. He is by no means a kid capable of denting a bat. Also a kid on his team has the same bat and there a 2 dents on both sides of the barrel

Very poor quality and durability
I purchased this bat for my son's batting clinic and within two weeks (2 total sessions of hitting indoors), the bat has an indentation. This should not happen to a bat that has been swung at underhand pitches - this clinic is all about proper hitting technique and form. I purchased a DeMarini thinking this was a quality product. I will be returning this bat to Dick's in the next couple of days in the hope of some remuneration.
A 10 year old does not have the bat speed to hit "indoor gym" soft baseballs hard enough to damage a new "high strength and durability" bat. Even a $70.00 bat should last longer than this - LOL.....I still have my bats I used in little league 30+ years ago. Granted, they are heavier, but they NEVER received a dent from a baseball.
