My last Garmin died after 2 years, so only time will tell... But so far I like it. The only thing I don't like is the button placement. The buttons are on the side instead of the top like my 305 was, and I have already inadvertently STOPPED it twice while running just because my hand bent and hit the button.

Just received this Garmin for my birthday a few weeks ago. It is a great running watch with simple easy to use functions, very light weight, and accurate. It is a bit slow in finding the location to get started but an easy change in my pre-run routine solved that "waiting" problem. I would highly recommend and love the history storage in the watch!

Rated 3 out of 5 by JohnP product very basic
very slow "getting location" -- delays start of run. Product is good on basic function but sometimes is awkward to use. E.g., needs a reset function to start the time and distance at the "start line" for a run. Currently you have to end a run and start a new run which means "getting location" again.

The Garmin Forerunner 10 is everything I had hoped it would be. It is comfortable, lightweight, stylish and has all the functions I need for my training runs and races. The upload function to store your data is easy to operate, and the setup process was fast and simple. The four function buttons on the watch are comfortable and easy to operate and understand. This is a welcome change from the five buttons on the Polar that I used to wear, which are small and metallic and had way more data options than I ever needed or used. If you're looking for an uncomplicated, good-looking GPS running watch that gives you the basic time, distance, lap pace and calorie burn, and at a great price, this is the watch for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bryan Everything you need, nothing you don't
For the price this GPS is the best bang for the buck. I had to replace my previous Motorola, which had a few more nice featurs but had twice the price tag. The watch is really resistant to water/sweat. The only issue I've had is that it takes a few minutes at times to get your location.

This is a very basic and simple to use GPS. It provides all of the basic functions and data that I require for my daily runs. If you do not rquire a heart rate monitor this is all you need at half the cost.

I had another Garmin for a few years, and unfortunately lost it, purchased this product as a replacement. This cost much less, is much easier to use, has a very sporty look and works fantastic!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Qratio Good watch; Misleading photo
This is a very good gps watch for those needing only basic info. No heart rate monitor capability. Website photo is deceiving since in real time on your run the watch can only display two of the four types of data shown in the photo on Dick's website.

I was originally looking for something to replace my ageing Nike+ app on my ipod. I was not expecting too much from this watch, but I read the reviews and it sounded OK. Ultimately it met and exceeded my expectations. Ready to go off the first charge and it was easy to use! I upload the data to Strava and it gives me everything I need. No-nonsense watch, ease of use, and so far it appears to be pretty durable. Good product.
