I bought this bike trainer because I am unable to get to the gym or ride outside enough to meet my exercise preferences. My plan was to set it up and NOT hang clothing on it. The cool thing about this is that it works exactly as I need it to. AND its really fun to use. I actually use it.
The one downside is the setup instructions are confusing and wrong. I think the version I received was for a previous model of the trainer. I took the product back to the store and the manager at Dicks was WONDERFUL in helping me get it set up appropriately. I am very pleased with both the product and the hands on support I got from the Dicks store.

This trainer is easy to put together and use. You'll get twice the workout as riding outside.

Got this mag trainer last week, set it up and am quite impressed. I ordered a Kinetic Fluid trainer also bc of what read but was not impressed. Nothing special with the Kinetic. The cycleops is smooth and quiet. I comes with the floor mat, riser and sweat catcher. I am very happy with the unit. For the type of riding I do it more than meets my needs.
The Kinetic will be going back.

The item had been opened and used prior to me opening the box- the stand was missing several screws making it unable to be assembled-

My wife wanted to "get Back on the Bike"
she asked me about the possibility of the Cycle Ops Bike Magnetic Trainer Kit.
we asked the in store clerk about the fit on all bikes or just some. he informed us it will work with all types of bikes. asked about standard cruiser and the answer was yes.
It did not work and i returned it to the store. The ax-cell support did reach the bolt however it would not support the rider. there should be optional lengths of the adjuster as it illustrates in the instructions.

Rated 3 out of 5áby XCDunks Decent value for the right bike
Does not fit EVERY bike. Did not fit my 29" mt bike with a 2.1" tire. Had to get a hybrid tire to make it work. Also the highest setting was not enough for a 34tx20t geared single speed. Gearing yielded a pretty casual spin speed with minimal resistance. Won't fit my 142mm axle 26" geared bike with the provided axle either. I guess I could screw the support mechanism in on my existing axle, but risk damaging the bike. Considering getting an extra 29" rear wheel to run a 16t cog and shorter chain so I can utilize what seems to be a decent trainer. I also had to change the tilt of my saddle once the bike was on the stand and in the front block. My regular angle was too steep and started to numb my pelvis, even with a chamois.

Pretty disappointed to purchase this item when it does not tell you all modifications that have to take place to your bike prior to using. The box or item description does not have any information regarding the product. Did not know, until buying and opening this unit that the rear spindle on our bikes had to be replaced with another spindle provided with this unit. I wasn't looking for a total overhaul from riding outdoors, just on rainy days or windy days. Definetly a big disappointment. Only buy this if you are looking to make your bike a "stationary bike". Returning this to the store for a refund!!
