Decent value for the right bike Does not fit EVERY bike. Did not fit my 29" mt bike with a 2.1" tire. Had to get a hybrid tire to make it work. Also the highest setting was not enough for a 34tx20t geared single speed. Gearing yielded a pretty casual spin speed with minimal resistance. Won't fit my 142mm axle 26" geared bike with the provided axle either. I guess I could screw the support mechanism in on my existing axle, but risk damaging the bike. Considering getting an extra 29" rear wheel to run a 16t cog and shorter chain so I can utilize what seems to be a decent trainer. I also had to change the tilt of my saddle once the bike was on the stand and in the front block. My regular angle was too steep and started to numb my pelvis, even with a chamois. May 14, 2013
Not as advertised Pretty disappointed to purchase this item when it does not tell you all modifications that have to take place to your bike prior to using. The box or item description does not have any information regarding the product. Did not know, until buying and opening this unit that the rear spindle on our bikes had to be replaced with another spindle provided with this unit. I wasn't looking for a total overhaul from riding outdoors, just on rainy days or windy days. Definetly a big disappointment. Only buy this if you are looking to make your bike a "stationary bike". Returning this to the store for a refund!! May 5, 2013
Indoor bike trainer Easy to assemble and set up. Easy to use. Feels great to right indoor. April 2, 2013
Great product Well this is the first time that I purchased a bike trainer and I am 100% satisfied with cyclops trainer. It only took me 20 minutes to put the trainer together and connect it to my bike. It gives me great resistance simply by changing gears on my own. I have not gotten a burning rubber smell as I peddle. The trainer has not been any louder than any treadmill that I have ever been on even with the resistance turned all the way up. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment with my wife and she could not hear me in the other room. there is the mat that comes with the trainer that is horrible because my back tire rests on it and makes more noise than the trainer when the back tire spins against it. bottom line the trainer is excellent. Good value for the money Have this set up in a spare room so I can get my rides in during the winter.Price included block, mat ,etc and shipping was free.Item was delivered as promised.Set up was easy. Only complaint is I wish they included a spinning dvd. January 21, 2013
You get what you pay for I have used my MIL's Cycleops Magneto several times and was really excited to finally get my own. This deal seemed too good to be true, and as is often the case, it was. The base of the unit is very stable, and it's nice to have the mat for underneath, but the actual wheel my tire spins on is a cheap plastic, and vibrates when I ride. It looks like it's not truely circular, so we will try to send it back for a replacement, but I would highly recommend going one step up and buying the Magneto. I also really don't see the point in the climbing block. Unless you're a serious racer, skip it. You can adjust the resistance on the unit itself so it's overkill. December 30, 2012
Great value Received this as a birthday gift. Very easy to set up.also it is not very loud. At times it sounds as loud as a treadmill, but my wife was on the main floor while I was riding in the basement and SHE COULDN'T HEAR me! December 26, 2012
