I have owned Winchester Shotguns and Rifles all my life. I have found all of thier prouducts outstanding. The 1029 lives up to the Winchester name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Randay B I Love This Rifle!
this is hands down the BEST pellet gun i have fired. extremely lightweight, its accuracy is remarkable, and the thumb grip is extremely comfortable for when i am carrying it in the field.
i did have difficulty with accuracy when i was shooting crossman pellets, but when i switched to the Gamo Red Fire .177 pellets, i was able to plink at 100 yards. i dropped down the range to 50 yards for an extremely accurate and powerful hunting rifle for squirrels and rabbits, and needless to say; it is very effective. the thumb grip gives the weapon system a smooth clean triger pull, and the scope that comes with it has a clear visual, and is very easy to zero in. i highly recommend this rifle

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brian S. Great hunter
Reliable and rugged hunter with good accuracy. Lot's of pro's for this rifle at this pricepoint. The trigger has two set screw adjustments and I was able to adjust it and reduce the spring tension of the trigger and with a little bit of heavyweight grease i got it decently light to pull with a reliable break point.
The stock is great, custom cut, clean with two storage compartments. The trigger guard has a few sharp edges that I sanded down for comfort.
Scope is a great value to add to this rifle. The scope is the Win. Model 811. Dual direction shockproof, reticle adjustments very easy and customary. Clarity and visibility during daylight hours is good.
It's a good rifle for age 15+. Younger than that and there might be a little struggle with the size, weight and break force.
Accurate, powerful, ergonomic, very functional as a small game hunter out to 50yards for sure.
I'm completely satisfied with this rifle and very happy with my purchase.
This rifle is very similar in quality to the RWS I grew up with.
