Straight and longer than competition So I came into the store to buy the new Nike 3 wood because the marketing actually persuaded me. The red cavity back design was awesome. I went into the simulator and hit 4 different 3 woods. The new Nike, Taylormade RBZ 1, 2012 calloway 3 wood, and just for fun grabbed the Cobra AMP cell wood. The nike looked great but I was hitting it around 235-240. All the other clubs were about the same.. except the Cobra AMP was consistently going 15-20 yards further, hitting around 255-260... off the turf! I went thru all the clubs twice... thinking I was just warmed up by the time I got to the Cobra, but the numbers were still off on the Nike. Another thing about the Cobra, was the shaft. Very solid and felt like an upgraded shaft on a stock club. So I bought the Cobra, played yesterday and was blown away at how consistent I was hitting it. A little shorter than in the simulator but solid feel and just an overall great club. I've been playing for 15 years, I'm an 8 handicap, and hit this club around 245-255... and its maybe playing like the best club I've ever purchased. April 26, 2013
