Schwinn Airdyne Upright Exercise Bike 3.9 5 7 7
Less air flow I've replaced the old Schwinn Airdyne with the new AD6. I ride 40 minutes everyday, 10 in the morning and 30 in the evening. The AD6 is very smooth with the belt drive but the smaller plastic fan does not create as much air flow to cool the rider as the older model. I do miss that air flow. The older version was very smooth with it's larger fan and once up to speed carried more momentum with the large heavy fan but over a long period(years) the chains and sprockets wear and create problems. I like the new AD6 very much but wish Schwinn had kept the larger fan coupled with the new belt drive design. December 4, 2014
Not for heavy use Works fine for the average user. Has not held up well in a crossfit gym with heavy use and strong guys... The belt drive keeps breaking and it will skip of you pedal too hard sometimes. Seat is really wide as well. November 14, 2014
Good value The AD6 is everything I expected and more. Assembly was easy, quality is excellent, great overall value. Smooth operation and provides an excellent workout. February 8, 2014
updated and improved I had an airdyne several years ago and sold it and have regretted ever since. Now that I prefer indoor exercise I have been looking for this bike for over a year and just found it. Like the new features and can't wait to have mine Christmas. December 14, 2013
Sturdy, well built machine. I tried several street bicycles but was to clumsy to ride one. So I started trying exercise bikes. Most were so poorly built they weren't likely to hold up against daily use for more them a couple of months. This bike has the most comfortable seat, stands firm, not rocky while getting on and off. I consider it to be a good purchase. November 18, 2013
Great But Worthless Exercise Bike Schwinn AD6 Airdyne is a great functioning bike, but is worthless because it is impossible to read the consol which is "black on grey," -- almost black numbers on black background. how could Schwinn possibly have released such a good bike with this stupid defect which makes it worthless? i would buy it except for this defect, but will wait till next year when Schwinn fires its engineer and corrects this major defect.
