Great smoothness and durability Ive had this reel for two weeks now and have fished it hard almost everyday. Its my go to rod/reel for worms and spinners. Pulled in a couple 5lbers and a lot of 3 and four pounders on 12lb test lines. Seems to be working well for me. I would recommend it, especially for the price; its a steal! May 23, 2013
One of great reel reels that will last a long time for under $30. This reel is great for crappie and bluegill on light tackle.It has a smooth drag and cast well. May 2, 2013
Overall good value, drag is poor quality I bought this reel due to its good reputation as a great value spinning reel. I like the finish and smoothness of the reel. The drag however is very disappointing. I do a lot of light tackle finesse fishing and rely heavily on a good drag preferring that over backreeling. The drag on this reel is not at all smooth and has terrible "start-up" when line first starts to come off. I'm hoping that it will be better once it gets more use and after a thorough lubrication but out of the box it is inferior to other brands in the same price range. April 23, 2013

Suprised for the price I researched many reels to pair up with a 5'0 UL Uglystick Lite. I have always been a fan of shimano, daiwa and abu garcia reels. After comparing all three of my preffered brands reels in my price range ($70 or less) i was very impressed how the cardinal sx felt compared to the others. This reel is not to be confused with the cardinal s which i have had freinds that have not had very good luck with. I decided to go ahead and save some money and go ahead and buy this over the orra s. I have owned this reel for over a year and am incrediblely impressed with how this has performed has 6lb test on the 10 model. Amazingly i was able to put together one of my best rod/reel combos for under a $100. If your looking for a reel to pair up with an UL rod save your self the money and get this reel. I have fished it hard for 2-3 times a week for over a year i dont believe durability will be an issue performance is definetly not. December 28, 2012
