I've used bikes a good bit because I usually have a pretty high alcohol level in my blood. After about 55 years I think this might be the best one I ever had. Those 21 gears are great for zipping in and out of traffic and if ya have to ride across grass it shifts down real easy. The off/on switch on the front fork stays on 'cause I jump curbs a good bit. The seat was hard so I bought a Nishiki girls seat, the one with the hole in it. My wife took it (the seat) but before she did it was a good addition cause the way I bounce around town ya never know when you're gonna flop right down on it and concrete has a poor sense of humor. Its pretty too. It looks black from the front and white from the back. Get one if ya can afford it but make sure ya got a good lock.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JB Reasonable for the price, but suspension fork failed.
Bought this bike a little over 1 year ago, and it has performed well under very light use by my 16 year old son. After about 200 miles total, the front fork locked up in the "lockout" mode. I purchased the extended warranty so the fork was replaced free of charge. Warning on the warranty, you must keep all of your receipts or it may not be honored. The frame is sturdy. The components other than the fork are very low end, but have worked well with minimal adjustment. Note that the wheels require Schrader valve tubes. Note also that 29 inch wheels will take any standard 700 series road tire as an alternate, which is nice if you plan to ride mostly on pavement.

Good seat height adjustments and gear selection. Wish the goose neck had some adjustments to raise the handle bars.

by LoneStarNiner Great bang for the buck
I finally decided to upgrade from the usual Walmart/Target bikes and went with Nishiki 29er. My budget was in the $400-$500 range so that ruled out the big names like Trek, Specialized, Kona, Giant, Scott and few others in that price line. I ended up patiently waiting until the summer was over and saved around $150 off MSRP.
My out of store price ending up being about $450 including tax.
Now as far as the bike I love it, great components, smooth ride and the 29 inch wheels are great on the trails. Also, the locking shocks absorbers options is great if you like to ride on trails and pavement.
Don't let the cheaper price scare you away from this bike, it's well worth it and compares quite well to the more expensive name brands and in a few of them better even better.
Happy riding and I've logged about 150 miles already..

Rated 5 out of 5 by D3 Great price
Picked this over the diamond back response for the lock out forks and a smoother crank. I do not like the seat and that you cant really use the 7th gear since the chain crunches due to the front and rear gear angle location. But overall great bike and I used a competitor coupon to lower the cost even more!

inexpensive, aluminum frame, disc brakes, adjustable fork suspension with lockout. I especially like the round wheels versus square wheels. they seem to roll much better. I would have really liked scratch n sniff paint but for the price I guess you can't have everything.
