Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Value I purchased this for my 6 year old grandson because it has adjustable draw weight, but the instructions are very vague so I will have to be trial and error. Other than that I think it was a great buy and I am sure that he will enjoy and grow into it. December 14, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bow I have been looking for a bow for a few weeks I have seen a few brands and I decided to try this one and it turned out great I love this bow December 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great youth bow and Barnett stands behind their product! Purchased the youth Tomcat compound bow for my 11 year old son who has enjoyed it and continues to shoot for years. What I am most impressed with is the Barnett company who really delivered on customer service. I dropped the bow on a wooden stairwell and the arrow guide broke. My fault! After contacting Barnett for a replacement part that I was willing to purchasing they shipped a new arrow guide at no cost!!! That's great customer service and now my son can continue to use his Tomcat for the future. I would definitely buy from Barnett again because they stand behind their products. Thanks Barnett and Dick's! October 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good starter bow. Our sons each have one. Our sons, ages 7 and 9, enjoyed their first archery experience at Cub Scout camp, but we wanted to make sure it wasn't just something novel they'd get bored with. At under $100 a piece, these compound bow/arrow sets seemed like a safe bet for Christmas presents. The draw length and weight are set right in the middle off the shelf, which makes sense. Both settings could stand to be reduced a bit for our 7 year old, who is on the short end of average height and other could definitely be increased for our 9 year old. I don't have a bow press and will need to find someone who can make the adjustment, but at least that's an option with this product. First time out, we learned right away to get to the target with the shortest distance at our nearby public archery range, but we weren't expecting hunting-caliber bows, so no big surprise there. The arrow rest is pretty cheap, made of plastic, and busted on the third shot for one of the bows. I contacted Barnett by email and they got back to me right away. We received a new arrow rest at no charge in about a week. That said, I found some very affordable whisker biscuits on Amazon and we're using those instead. It was easy to swap the parts out, and the bows seem easier to shoot and more accurate now, which means more fun! Seems to make sense that each of these should come with three arrows rather than two since the arrow holder has one empty slot. I ordered three more Barnett junior arrows on Amazon for around $10. Overall, we're happy with the bows. They didn't break the bank, and we're optimistic that our sons will continue to enjoy them for a year or two. April 23, 2014
