Rated 5 out of 5 by Nat Ken Cole Love this tent.
It assembles quickly and easily, is incredibly small packed up - not to mention light, provides plenty of room for 1 person (and probably 2 if you're fine snuggling all night), and looks to be well made with high quality components. It also looks super slick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Krysse Great for camping
I bought this tent for my son who is in Boy Scouts. Other scouts have similar tents with the opening at the top. They keep trying to trade him tents. He has used it on 8-10 camp outs now, temp down to 30's, heavy rain storms, heavy winds (normal Oklahoma weather for us), sunny etc... He has never had any issues staying warm or dry. He loves it and it fits perfect on his backpack. It is very light weight. He is 5'5' and has plenty of growing room. Currently he can keep his backpack inside with him, but if he grows anymore, it will have to stay outside. That is the only negative I can find with it. Would recommend getting better steaks, but that's common with most tents. It goes up easy and packs out fast.

I was really excited about this tent after doing a lot of review reading and researching other tents. I usually buy from REI with a membership but decided to risk it and was sorely disappointed. I woke up in the morning with so much condensation that I was actually damp. This won't work for cold temperature camping!

I bought this for my teenage son to use for Boy Scouts and hiking the AT. Caught it on sale and could not be more pleased. I am 6'2 and it is a tad short for me but it is perfect for anyone shorter. The side entry is a plus and it is really light weight. I will let you know if it doesn't stand up to the abuse from the teenager but from the looks of it I am not expecting any problems. If you prefer a vestibule - this tent does not have one. The Boys always hang their bags on a tree to keep them off the ground and prevent rips to the tent so that was not an issue for him.
This is my first KOPPEN Purchase and I am extremely pleased with what I have seen so far.
I personally use the Marmot Aspen 2P that is carried by Dick's for my tent and appreciate the extra space and vestibule.

very nice 3 season backpacking tent, do not recommend it for winter. lightweight, waterproof and easy to set up. I'm 6'1" and plenty long, but as most bivey tents your gear stays outside.

very light weight and pretty compact. Had a slight issue with condensation due to a rapid temperature drop overnight but still stayed dry. Better than a Bivy.
REQUIRES STAKES- the ones that came were sturdy aluminum but if you plan on being in rocky terrain or hiking up a mountain think again because the stakes are required to hold the tent up not just hold the fly out.

I purchased this tent after seeing a demo model at the Eugene Oregon store. The idea was to have a well made light weight tent for bicycle touring. Upon opening up the box I found immediate trouble. The main body of the tent was littered with straw. The main body was also inside out with some staining at the foot area. This tent was obviously returned in questionable condition. After starting to put the tent together I found that the poles were very hard to install. The large pole went in with about 15 minutes of coaxing. The small pole was installed but a extreme amount of pressure was needed. When the rain fly was installed it was supposed to be connected with 4 clips at the four corners. Four clips were in the correct places on the tent body but there were only three clips on the rainfly. In place of the fourth clip as a simple elastic loop. The installation of the tent was finished by attaching the elastic loop to the tent stake and putting a new grommet. to make the small pole fit. After taking the tent down I plan to completely clean the tent and check for bad seams.

Reseached and determined this was a good option for price and qualities. Recieved promptly va mail, quality was good and looked like a good selection, however, it was missing the flex rods to support the tent.....had to take back but was accepted and given a replacement.

This tent is a great buy. For the money, it offers a very light weight tent for 3 season hiking/camping. Am not sure how it will hold up in high winds, but so far it has exceeded my expectations. I use it on 2-3 day trips, and it has served its purpose. If you are someone who just needs something occasionally, this is the tent for you.
