Rated 4 out of 5 by Lardog Backpacking Europe
I used this pack for 1 month to travel through Europe. It does meet all the size requirements needed for airlines (Ryanair), This top-fill pack can hold a lot of clothes and gear; more than you think. I didn't fill it to capacity and the upper compartment only cinches down in the front, not the back, so it tends to feel loose on top. If there were adjustments in the back, I would have rated it higher. This pack seems to be priced on the high side but it did hold up to everything I put it through.

I bought this pack a few weeks ago and loved the way it looked (minus NO water bottle holder!) I stuffed it full and found out the X frame on the backside was stabbing me in the back! All I did was pull that out and now it feels amazing. The internal frame should be support enough, just don't over stuff it. Taking this baby on a 6 month thru hike!

I bought this pack for the occasional hiking/camping trip and was able to use it on a recent cross-country venture. It has a ton of space and feels pretty light on your back. The straps are well padded and feel great, and the waist-band and chest strap do a very good job at weight dispersion. However, it can get slightly uncomfortable due to the bar that is part of the external frame on the pack digging into your lower back if you're on the skinny side. Also, the way the pack is designed (though honestly the way most packs like this are designed) the top pouch does not stay over the top of the pack very well unless the pack is full. If you don't plan on carrying a fair amount of things with you, I would advise to look somewhere else. Otherwise it is a great functioning pack and it will serve you well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by xevier69 Good backpack but horrible internal frame.
Great backpack, good quality for a decent price... However I don't get the internal frame design. It looks very unreliable. The store where I shop had four of them in stock and three had the frame either bent or damaged. The plastic joint was so up that it was touching the mesh and poking my back to the point that it was impossible to wear for more than a minute. I tried to bend the frame thinking that it was stepped on but with no result. I finally got one that I think is good enough but have no confidence that it will last for a long time and will do what it supposed to when backpack is fully packed for hiking. In the worst case scenario the frame can be removed but it will compromise the backpack design and purpose of internal frame.
Other than that I like the features, material and colors. Keep in mind that this is not a high end backpack nowhere near Osprey or North Face but as I said for the price (less than $60) it is worth it.

Price and quality caught my eye!! Love the steel grey and blue trim, numerous pockets and places to attach items! Bought it for my boyfriend, but I'm gonna keep it for myself!

Rated 4 out of 5 by dustytrails great bag for price
The bag is a great deal. very light weight and works perfect for my intended purpose. Only thing I did not like is the framework pokes me in the back and I had to do some work to the x brace to keep it straight but its a very good deal for the money and that is only a minor issue

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mike (Naptown) super price but not adjustable
this backpack has an internal frame but is not adjustable. i bought it for its capacity, and then found out at the register that it was 50% off, making the deal irresistible. i do like many of the features (rain fly, deep bottom pocket, adjustable straps, chest strap, waist strap with small, etc), and at 45L i restrict what i take. it weighs in a little heavier (3lbs) than an ultralight pack (2lbs, 3oz) if the extra 13oz does not bother you, this is a good pack. the cell phone pocket was a bit small for my GS3, but i did not put the phone there (at little extra velcro would have been nice).
one major drawback to this not being an adjustable pack: the internal frame (bottom) rested right against my lower back. this would normally be a problem, but i created a pad from an old foam sleeping pad, and affixed it to the mesh on the inside of the pack. this fixed the irritation. again, for the price, this was well worth my money.

by AP32 Amazing backpack
I go out on hiking and trekking a lot and was looking for a lightweight backpack that could carry at-least two days worth of clothes, food and water. This backpack is just what I wanted. It has a deep stuffing area where I can stack clothes neatly and pack goods layer by layer. The shoulder straps and weight distribution is just perfect. Even when fully loaded, one doesn't realize how heavy stuff they're carrying. I would happily recommend Koppen's family of backpacks. There were larger bags available at Dick's but 45L frame was perfect size for me.

As with everything in Dick's, It was vastly overpriced. I only bought it becasue it was on sale and I had a gift certificate.
