Rated 5 out of 5 by Came back to Top Flite after many years I used to use Top Flite balls when I was younger and first got into golf. They were long, durable, and priced right for a person who couldn't afford to pay a lot but wanted a decent golf ball. I slowly moved away trying many different brands and spending more money but not getting any better results. Not long ago I found a new Top Flite Gamer in the trees and finished a hole with it. It brought me back a few years and as I always noted in the past, the ball is a brighter white than most others. I got a dozen for Father's Day and just started playing with them again. Last week, after 44 years of playing the game (no lessons, typical bogey golfer) I hit my first hole-in-one with a Gamer. 158 yards into a breeze pushing against and right to left with a 6 iron. One hop into the cup and ball mark was about 3 inches to the right of the hole. Best golf memory ever. As the advertising states, good distance, spin, and feel for a reasonably priced golf ball. Rated 5 out of 5 by This ball performs well enough for 95% of all golfers. I have converted most of my playing partners over to the Top Flight Gamer. This ball is long off the tee, stops dead with any iron and putts very well. The only thing this ball does not do well is curve. If you are used to moving the ball right to left or left to right get used to seeing straighter ball flights. One thing I will say is if your short game requires a very soft feel then this is not your ball. I would say it has a slightly more firm feel than a Pro V1x, but the ball is controllable off the wedges. I am a 5 handicap and I love it when people notice my ball (usually the one closest to the flag) and say "you are playing a rock flight"? If he is a nice guy I will give him the heads up. If not I just let them seethe. August 12, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by gamer a good ball the gamer is a good ball seem to fly stright but is not as long as the top flite 7000 were. I would like to know if Dicks is planning to sell the 7000 in the future? I like them alot . the gamer is a good buy at the price .I am 62 and need all the distance I can get.13 handie cap July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beating the Competition! I've been a Top-Flite fan for years. I watched Lee Trevino spin them off the green and that was enough for me. We fall for what the media feels is the best, ranging from presidents to golf balls. Try them. Best ball on the market! I hit them off the tee for distance (280 average) and still hold the greens at the distances I want to hit the ball. That means if I want to hit it 115 and stop it next to the hole, the Gamer does that. If I hit the competition with my skill level, I may or may not back the ball up leaving me further from the hole than I intended. I want consistent distance and performance. By the way, I shoot in the 70's so before you golf balls snobs start snickering, I know what a good performance on the course is and that's your Gamer. Great trajectory. Great distance. Great control and feel. Buy them. They are the best ball at any price. June 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4-5 long ball - straight and good distance good quality like top-flite intend to keep using as my only golf ball started using them last year March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Impressive I've been a long time Pro V1 user. Refused to try anything else. Then a fried told me about these Gamers. Very impressive. The feel is great around the greens and distance is superb. I'm convinced. At the sale price of about 1 buck per ball, sure beats the Pro V1 at 4 bucks per ball. Got four dozen of them now. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great ball for the money I find these balls to fly as far as any. The feel around the greens is not as good as the high dollar premium balls, but for less than 1/2 the price they meet my needs. Another reviewer said the gamer tour doesn't fly as far as the gamer, but the reverse is true for my 93mph driver swing speed. The tour version gamer typically flys a couple yards farther for me, and feels a little better around the greens. I bought the regular gamer this time because special sale made them 62.5% the price of gamer tour. February 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Choice I have used this ball for couple of years and have found that it is true to my swing and contact. An inexpensive ball that putts well and provide good distance . Plus at this price point I don't have to risk running into things in the woods or bushes , take a drop an move on I score in the low 80 ' with this ball. February 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great ball for the cost Great cost on the ball, great feel, poor mans titleist pro V1 February 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent value! This three piece ball tends to play more like its far more expensive cousins. Great distance but with responsive feel. They'll check up nicely on the green. February 11, 2014
