Rated 4 out of 5 by Chudster Underrated Ball
I'm a player that shoots in the mid 90's on average. I have a very inconsistent swing that lets me put balls where I want them to be when I am on and is a train wreck when I am off. I was a really big fan of the Gamer V2 (which is now just called the Gamer after Dick's bought the brand). What I liked about the V2 was the relatively straight trajectory, added distance with a pretty nice feel off the irons. What I did wish for was for a bit more spin when approaching the greens with the V2's.
I think these may have met my wishes. With the V2's I was averaging about 15-20 longer on my irons. With the Gamer Tours, I average about 10 yards longer with my irons BUT I can stop these on the green. Most of my shots from about 130 yds and in either stop about a foot past the ball mark or even check back about a foot for my shortest irons and my wedges when I get clean contact. I'll take the little bit of lower distance (compared to the V2s) for the added spin.
Otherwise, the V3's and the Gamer Tours feel the same when I strike them.

OK first I should say, this is me settling for something other than I want. I WANT FREAKs but we all know that is over and done....sigh
So I took these babies out to try and fill the void in the ball department. I was very happy with how they played and yes they probably are better around the greens. I just miss that FREAK feel off the tees.
I took the Tour and regular Gamers out and didn't really notice a ton of difference. Off the putter was probably the biggest "feel' difference. Both balls were long and kept up with the higher priced stuff that my foursome was throwing out there.
Anyone wanting the feel of a ProV would probably like these. I'm proud to where my Top Flite Gamer hat on the Tee Box and these balls deserve a shot. Just so it's said, NO these are not Rock Flites....no not at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lizard Very good ball for the money
Three piece urethane covered ball just like the expensive balls. I'm a 12 handicap with moderate swing speed. I have not noticed any problems with cover shredding or scuffing. Most people think that any ball with Top-Flite on it is a Rock Flite, but this is a very nice product. It's a shame that the golf magazines haven't jumped on board, but they are busy collecting advertising money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Foul ball As good as a Prov...maybe...Not!!!
Good bang for the buck. But not a prov..by any means. Cover is thin and scuffs easily. Have played a single prov..18 holes and remains in excellent condition. Lucky to make 5 holes, with out damage to cover. Wedges will eat these covers like candy. If you value your money stick with a NXT tour or Prov....and for some reason, unidentified at this time, ball likes to go left, contested by multiple users? Invest your money on a PGA proven product. Hope this review helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by dropshoe Good golf ball for the money
Good ball for the money, hits long, spins on the greens. Why pay $3.00 to $4.00 each for other balls. Only fault is the soft cover, wedge can scuff the cover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ken48 Good distance. acceptable feel
I'm a 3 handicap.. The Gamer is not a Pro-V1. However, the Gamer is $20/dozen vs $47 for a Pro V1. I liked it and could play this ball.
