Rated 4 out of 5 by I use it for my plein aire painting supplies. I appreciate this rugged, lightweight case. The Flambeau T3 has a top compartment roomy enough for my pans, favorite brushes, water containers, and binder clips. When I am done, the damp pans stay flat in the case and do not spill. I use one of the three trays for my "brush kit", which has dividers so I can separate erasers from pencils, chalk, crayons, and brushes. The second divider tray is handy for less used brushes, cotton swabs, exacto knife, charcoal stick, extra pencils, and other miscellany. I use the bottom tray (the one with three shallow rows but no dividers) for tubes of my favorite paints to refill pans as needed. My favorite feature of this kit is that the trays go into the case on a front loading rack. I can put this on the back of my studio drawing table, and easily slide out which tray I need. My most used items are convenient to use at home yet also easy to grab and go. One drawback is that the tray front opening is a little too short. If it were a half in taller, I could set an open tray on the fold down front and the cover of the tray would stay open naturally. I mildly dislike the orange/tan color combination. I think I would prefer hunter green and tan, but since it was intended for fishing, I suppose I should accept how lucky I was to score a great plein aire case for a bargain price. (mine was $20.00 but I found out later it is only $15.00 online). September 14, 2014
