I was riding about 75 miles per week on a typical Walmart $100 road bike. I switched to this hybrid as it promised to better fit my type of riding. The first week was great!! It was similar to a move from a pickup truck to a sports car. In the second week I noticed a noise from the pedal area and shortly thereafter the handlebars became loose. I took it back to Dick's and after they had it for a few days told me that there was a bad bearing and also a defective tire. Instead of repairing it, they offered to give me a replacement bike. A few more days went by as the bike had to be assembled. When I went to pick up the replacement bike, I noticed the tires weren't free spinning and it seems that the wheels may be defective. Bike is still there!!
Bottom line is that the bike leaves something to be desired but the people at Dick's are very helpful and supportive.

not needing or looking for an exotic thin wheeled bike, I sought out and purchased this one; it's perfect for local roads and some trails; the tires are just right can handle the bumps of the road without fear of flats, the gaers shift smoothly and easily; the bike itself is light and and I look forward to riding it; store clerk Moises was very knowlegable and helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ToCampusIGo Nice Bike, Well Built, Quality Overall
I purchased this bike for my boyfriend for his birthday because he picked it out of all the ones at our local Dick's. It has a 17" frame which is supposed to fit a person 5'4" up to 5'11". Fits him perfectly. His review follows:
The ride is very smooth, and the gears change quickly and accurately. Almost everything on the bike is quick release, so securing all 'stealable' parts requires a bit of creativity and a longer than normal locking cable.
The build quality is good overall, and the materials are light and rigid. The wheels, being a hybrid, can take the uneven pavement that the back roads of West Lafayette offers, while being smooth as butter on the paved 'manned vehicle oppressive' thoroughfares.
A challenge has been the handlebars as the startup torque from initial pedaling puts significant presure on one handle or the other (depending on which foot he starts with) and this loosens the single bolt that holds the handlebar in place. Not really a huge problem, just a bit of an irritation, really.
Finally, the gear changes are rather smooth, quick, and free of any clanking or clamoring. At the top end of the second gear set, 7th has a bit of chain noise, but nothing too impossible to ignore.
Overall, the bike is pretty excellent, and the service at Dick's was easy to deal with. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an all-purpose bike at the middle of the road price level. I expect it to last for many years with very little maintenance. A final great thing is that it is made in the USA. Not sure if this matters to many people anymore, but it gives us a little pride here.

I own a 1977 Fuji s10. Looks new and rides great just to tall for me. Bought this bike at Dicks and have been riding on the green line for about a month. This bike is great. Took awhile for me to get use to the steering. It goes where you point it fast. I am going to take it back for the tune up, will let you know how it goes. So far great bike for the price and looks sharp too.

Nice solid bike. Purchased it for more exercise other that walking.
It rides very smooth compared to two other brand my family has. Shimano shifter is working fine with no in-between gears lash. Breaking is firm and strong. Love being able to adjust the seat without tools. t was priced just a little high, but got it on sale so not so sticker shocked... Overall happy with purchase.

Excellent purchase, well worth the value, especially when you wait for the sale. Outstanding customer service by sales person who actually tuned the Bike before sending you on your way. Apparantly you get a 30 day tune up with purchase of the Bicycle
Bell helmets speak for themselves, very durable and comfortable even in 100degree temperature. Excellent quality and value

Went to dicks in lake grove ny just to look at bikes for my wife. she wanted a hybrid. I looked at tons online and they where really expensive. Found this one at dicks and the kid working the bike department was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took his time to address some concerns I had and fitted my wife for a bike that would fit her. Very impressed. She loves the bike. Then we brought it over to my parents house so she and my mother could go for a ride. WOW. I compared her bike to my mothers trek. they look identical except the Nishiki had front suspension and the trek didn't even though the trek cost about $300 more. great bike for a great value.

Wow! What a great bike! I just retired and am enjoying getting acquainted with my new neighborhood on my new Nishiki Hybrid bike. I've put over a hundred miles on it in a couple of weeks, and now my 13 year old grandson is here to visit, and he's getting the bike bug. The quickly adjustable bike seat makes it even easier to set it for him. Maybe after he leaves, I'll get to ride it again. Hey, here's my chance. I'm off for a quick ride now.
