I wanted a bike to ride the Greenways. I used to ride road bikes and mountain bikes. I am older now and i was ready for a comfortable bike that wasn't extremely expensive yet was a quality bike! I searched for months at bike specialty stores and sporting goods stores. I was passing Dick's one day and decided to stop in. Saw this bike on sale for $199! I've ridden it almost 100 miles and it is perfect! And the associate who helped me with my purchase, Josh, was fantastic!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lucey93 Great bike for the price
When I was looking for a bike, I really wanted a road bike because I was planning on using it for commuting to and from my college campus. The problem was, I didn't have $400+ to drop on a quality road bike. I found this hybrid at Dick's and was very surprised at the low price (I got it for $280). I've had hybrids in the past and some of them are a little too close to a comfort bike for my liking, but this Nishiki rides more like a road bike due to the skinner tires and light frame. This bike is not as light as a road bike, but light enough for my to carry it up 2 flights to my apartment every day! Also, I was afraid of it being too small for me (I am 5'10"), but it's a great fit! Overall, couldn't be happier with my purchase, it's a smooth ride and is great for what I need as a commuting student.

Having not ridden a bike in years, this was a great gift to myself. We bought 2 of this model, one for my daughter as well. It's a smooth ride, just enough gears for riding a pretty level surface of bike paths and city streets. After trying several bikes in the store with the help of a very nice sales associate, we decided to buy online. They put the bike together for free in the store anyway .The sale price was $70 off each online with free shipping and they don't honor that instore... we tried .So for a few days wait it was worth it. .
As stated above by another reviewer, you need to purchase a kick stand, I also bought a rear view mirror-- totally LOVE that and lots of lights for night riding. The only thing I didn't like, there is no where to mount a water bottle cage - meaning pre-drilled holes in the frame. I had to buy an adapter. All the small things add up, so I'm sure I spent that $70 savings .

Although I've only had it for a couple of weeks, I'd say this was a good purchase for a light use bicycle. It seems to be comfortable, and easy to maneuver. So far, I have enjoyed the ride on it, and have found myself biking more often and at a longer distance because of it's ease of use. I don't usually give 5 stars unless an item is outstanding - should this be the case and I am able to update this review in a few months on it's durability, I'll upgrade the stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stayingyoung Excellent price, but seat is uncomfortable.
The price was excellent. I am still learning how all 21 gears work...especially after taking a spill last week. Maybe a fatter tire would have gotten me over the 2" lip going into the driveway at an angle. Sprained my hand and wrist pretty bad, but nothing was broken. Maybe I should have done a few "test rides" with the gears before having to be somewhere at a certain time...I changed the seat out at the store, before I left as the stock one is just not comfortable to me. I ended up purchasing an Avenir Plush Plus Bike Seat. I love it! When my arm heals I will be taking for more rides and learn the gears better too.

I haven't ridden a bike in over 10 years. Last year I had major surgery and was very sick. Needing to get back in shape, I wanted to start riding but didn't want a cheap bike from a department store, nor did I want an expensive bike with too many features from a private dealer. This bike was just the right price with just the right features. I started out the first few days riding a couple miles a day close to home, then the following week, loaded it on the bike rack and went to a trail. Rode for 10 miles! I'm really enjoying riding a bike again!

I love my new Hishiki hybird bike. I am a novice rider of short stature and it fits well, rides comfortable. I have only had it for 3 weeks and have logged approximately 20 mile without leg cramps. I would mrecommend this product to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stephen43011 Great bike for the money
We just purchased this bike and have put at least 10miles on it so far, and so far we have no real complaints. The only things that surprised me on the negative side is that first you must purchase a kick stand and that once you leave the store there is no warranty on anything about the bike unless you want to purchase it too. Guess I'm familiar with other name brand bikes from bike stores that do have some type of limited warranty .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joey C Great gift
I surprised my fiancee with this bike as I've knew she wanted a bike for the longest. I went back and forth from Dicks to Sports Authority to the local bike shop since I wanted to get her a decent quality bicycle. Mind you - she only wanted a bike for leisure purposes and doesn't intend to train for a marathon or anything like that. After speaking with the associate (whom I thought was very knowledgeable) and taking it for a test drive, I decided that this was the gift for her. It rides very smooth and the price was just right. I shop for value; I don't shop for price. That said, this bicycle is well worth the price.
