So far, so good
We purchased this bike for our 8-year old son about a month ago. He had a 20-inch tire bike, and with the amount of biking he does on a local trail, needed a bigger bike. It is about the maximum size we should go with for his size and age, but he'll continue to grow into it. He hasn't ridden a lot yet, but it seems to be of good quality. It is lightweight as well. It seems to be a 14-speed bike (7x2), which we didn't notice on the specs. We're not bike experts, but the "hybrid" tires seem thinner and closer to a race bike than a "dirt bike", but I'm sure our son will get used to them.
Buying it through Dick's online allowed us to take the box directly into a Dick's store and have them assemble it for us for free. That was a big bonus. We normally buy most of our products from the most popular online website, but with the free assembly it was a no-brainer. (I had called a number of local stores and no one carried this model. Also, interestingly enough, since there were no reviews on Dick's website, it was other online reviews that convinced us to buy this model.)
