Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great feel, good hooksets, BAD GUIDES Just as I was getting to the point that I was totally in love with this rod, it fell apart at the seams. I used it for around six months, inshore fishing in tampa bay primarily. It was the first and only rod that I ever had that felt perfect for me. It was a great combination of strength and feel, very lightweight, and we caught a lot of fish together. Then, one day this week, for no reason at all, two of the rod guides broke during a fight with a fish. The rod was very well taken care of and had never had any type of damage before this happened. The rod is essentially garbage now and I feel very disappointed. Maybe I should have spent a little more for a St. Croix...which is exactly what I'll be doing now. August 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by First w This is the first wright and mcgill rod I've bought and I love it. I purchased the same rod but spinning not long after I got this one. Excellent choice for inshore and I have even used it for bass fishing. June 6, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by A Lot Of Rod For Your Buck!!!!!! I have owned both the first gen and now the second gen and these rods can handle anything from a light cold water trout bite and still have enough back bone to fight an over sized 40 pound black drum. GREAT JOB W&M March 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Value Purchased during Grand Opening sale event. Rod has performed flawlessly so far. Upper slot reds and specks no problem. Tip is quite sensitive and responsive. Nice grip and good feel overall. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best rod for inshore fishing Bought it for a gift, almost took it back. It's got great flex, the materials are strong, it's incredibli lightweight. The sensitivity of this rod makes it seem that I can see everything going on underwater, if that makes sense haha. Slammed a huge Redfish the first time we brought it out. October 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweet pole Great rod. Super cast ability. Strong enough to handle just about any fish I will find in New Hampshire waters. Only wish Dicks would carry this item in the northern areas. August 17, 2013
