Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hefty Tactical Knife This is a sturdy tactical knife and feels heavy in your hand. The black coated steel blade eliminates light reflection. The MAGIC blade opening is fast as lightning. At 8 3/8" open it is the perfect length. Only drawback is you will need a ballistic nylon pouch on your belt to carry this knife. At 5oz it feels like a lead weight in your pants pocket. The blade lock is secure, I leave the gun type safety off. May 17, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Overpriced Junk At this price point you can get a better knife with MUCH better blade steel. The steel they chose for this knife is best compared to 420HC with slightly less stain resistance. Its bulky and just feels cheap. I think what your paying for is all the silly and for the most part not necessary safeties and IMO ugly styling. At this price point you could get a Kershaw Leek (EDC) or Blur (Tactical) which are both FAR superior to the S&W in every way. I have been in LE for 16 years so I know a thing or two about tactical equipment and I wouldn't trust my life to this knife. This knife just doesn't have anything to support the price tag. Had they used even a mid-grade steel like AUS-8 I may have given it a second look but as it stands you have Gizmos and a fairly decent assisted opening mechanism with bottom of the barrel junk steel blade. Do yourself a favor and get a Kershaw Leek or Blur instead of this overpriced junk! January 31, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Everything is great Except the weight. It's fricken heavy for a tactical knife. But I like the look and overall feel. You will not be getting this one back. I just hope the edge holds up. September 8, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by smith and wesson m and p magic spring assisted part serrated folding knife well the knife itself is a good product. the response time for the spring activation is satisfactory, the blade has not chipped at all, the overall construction of the knife is well executed. the only drawbacks with the knife are that' when I purchased it, it was not sharp at all. the other drawback is that the knife does not have a seatbelt cutter, and cosmetically, the black covering on the blade wore off the first time I used it. I figured that the coating was a permanent fixture, for paying close to 60 dollars for it. other than that, it's a good knife to have because it is pretty sturdy, and it is a multi tool of sorts. as far as the store and it's associates, I was treated very well. the cashier, I think his name is mark, was very polite and helpful. Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good knife for the price. This is my second S&W M&P knife. My first was a Smith & Wesson M&P MAGIC Spring Assist Drop Point Folding Knife which is an excellent knife. Absolutely no complaints. This knife is also really good. My only complaint is the safety switch is not as good as the others M&P knives. It is in an awkward spot so while the knife is open it is easily switched into safe and when you go to close the knife it jams up slightly. So you just need to be mindful before closing the knife. Other than that this is a really good knife. December 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Its OK This is a well built knife for sure. The handle is made from aluminum and is pretty comfortable. The locking mechanism seems to work well and the spring assisted blade is plenty powerful. I have one major problem with this knife, IT IS HUGE. It is really uncomfortable in a front pocket on jeans. The only way I will carry it is in pants that have side pockets. Even with that it feels like you have a bar of lead swinging in your pocket with every step. Overall if you understand how big this is, I think its an ok knife. December 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Strong and Sharp. Solid folder. Decent price. Replaced my Ka Bar folder with this. Same one I took overseas with me in the Marines. Only draw back I've noticed is that the safety can be a little faulty at points. Push the blade in further and try again. Quick fix. Just not as fluid and consistent as I'd prefer. I'd recommend this knife. November 19, 2013

Are there better blades out there, sure there are,but this blade just happen to meet my needs. I love the style and weigh of the knife, pop the blade out and you know you have an Smith and Wesson M & P knife. Just like a firearm, take care of it and it will take care of you. January 26, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by i want a new knife Terrible knife. The glass breaker fell out of the knife within the first 3 days and the tip of my knife is already chipped. I'm not impressed at all January 15, 2013
