The TaylorMade R1 Driver can be tuned to fit any and all playing abilities. With 7 standard and 5 upright loft options between 8° and 12°, the R1 provides players with optimal launch angles. The R1 also has 7 face angle options: N/square, open, medium-open, maximum-open, closed, medium-closed, and maximum-closed. In addition to adjustability, movable weights promote a neutral/straight flight or a distance-enhancing draw.

Awesome Driver! Taylormade hit an ace with this driver. Let me say that I have played 4 different drivers in the past two years trying to find one as good as my old Titleist 910D2. I have tried the RBZ, R11, R11S and RBZ Stage 2 since I replaced the Titleist. I thought that I had found the right driver when I got the RBZ Stage 2, but a friend got me to try the R1. Let me say that I am 61 years old and I was probably averaging 225 off the tee. When I hit the R1 on the launch monitor it said that I was averaging 240ish. However, when I got it on the course I was doing better than that . While I probably won't be reaching par 5s in two I have come close on several occassions since buying the R1. Today I measured one drive with my skycaddie at 271 yards and two others at 260+ and I am hitting just about every fairway. I love this driver. Best on the market in my opinion. Thank you Taylormade. Oh, by the way, I shot a 69 today. May 16, 2013
Max Adjust I like it so far. I don't love it yet. Adjustablity is great. Still trying to find my optimum setup. Recommend getting help with launch angle setup. Sounds and feels awesome. Mike at Dicks is the man! May 15, 2013
Great Technology For the first time, I now feel confident that I have a driver that I can change options myself as I play different courses. The sweet spot is very forgiving and I really did pick up 18 yards of distance! May 14, 2013
Excellent club I used to be the type of player who would but complete sets off the shelf...then I found the R1. In the bay it was easy to tell when I hit great shots and when I hit off the heel or toe. I tuned it on the driving range and had some bad slices until I got used to hitting the club and once I did I tuned it to 11.25 degrees loft, 3 degrees closed on the face, and a draw preference and I started getting a nice draw with a good ball flight and was almost hitting a target 275 yards away. My previous best distance ever with my previous driver was 240 yards. This club has given me such control and SO much more distance on a consistent basis. I left a friend of mine speechless on the first tee the other day. I will never buy a box set again. May 12, 2013
Best Driver Ive Owned This is by far the best driver I have owned. I am a committed Taylormade golf user and all of there products carry great quality and this is the best product they have out today. This is a driver that will last evem the average golfer a very long time. The possibilities of loft amd dace angle are nearly endless. Perfect for any level of golfer! May 8, 2013
Great Driver This driver is Great. Once tuned in it is a very accurate and forgiving club. I have the R11 and have found both to be very similar but the R1 is 20 yards longer off the Tee. April 30, 2013
