Solid bat My son is 7 and in his 2nd year of machine pitch. his hitting dropped off the better his swing got. One of the coaches noticed that he was way ahead of the pitches now that he was swinging hard. We decided to try a heavier bat and I figured the big barrell might also help him get out of the slump. This is by far the most expensive bat I have purchased for him, but well worth it. He is starting to tune in and his timing is much better. the ball comes of the bat solidly as well. A couple of the other kids on his team have the same bat in various sizes. ours is 28", 18 oz. Well worth the money. May 9, 2013
