Rated 3 out of 5 by DAardvark Comfortable but hard to pack The pack looks good and is very comfortable to wear. It has only an average number of pouches and pockets. It isn't a great day pack and it isn't a great overnight pack. I would call it average on both. The thing that I really didn't like is how surprisingly narrow the main storage area is. The S-Bend of the ridged frame greatly narrows the space. Thus the very bottom is great but right where your back bends, the pack is constricted. Then it widens again as it goes to the shoulder. This is surprisingly limiting. Especially if you add a 2L water bag. Better find a wide/flat bag since putting a common bag (or bottle) into the pack makes using the pack really difficult. I think if I gave up on keeping water on my back, this bag would perhaps get 4 stars. But even without water, the pack shape makes packing more of a hassle than necessary. But it is comfortable to wear. September 11, 2013
