PING G25 Driver 4.8 5 19 19
Who wants to buy a Taylormade driver? After trying 4 different Taylormade drivers over the course of the last 7 seasons, I never once felt I was getting what I should out of my drives. Distance was off, they were all difficult to control and mishits took me out of the hole. I finally invested in the G25, and I'm so glad I did. I have never hit so many fairways off the tee. Even mishits seem to find their way to the edges or first cut with just a minor loss of distance. The Ping G25 is a great looking driver at setup. Matte black with no silly coloring or markings all over the top of the head. A pleasure to look at and a pleasure to hit. This one is staying in the bag for a long time. August 3, 2014
Ping G 25 driver I am 71. Bought this driver with a senior shaft. This is my first senior shaft in any club. I now wonder why I waited so long. This is an immediate pickup of 15 yards. The G25 hosel adjustment is easy to use and makes a difference. I'm a fan. I am a Ping loyalist because the company does good things for our vets and they make excellent equipmet. July 10, 2014
Wow is the key word here. Lets start off and state that i'm a firm believer that Taylor Made has a huge jump on innovation, distance, and control in the industry. But in the past few years I believe there Driver distance is built for a low handicap to pro who hit 300 yards plus and down the middle every time. Which I am neither one of them, I have been stuck on their Superfast since it came out. This past weekend I took at demo out on the course of the G25 and lets say WOW was the key word. Not only was this club straight but I add 20 yards off the tee with no more effort than I give my superfast. Granted the shaft is a standard size which means my long length shaft Superfast should have been a little closer in distance but it wasnt even close. If your a mid to high handicap player looking for distance and control it will be money well spent. Like I said my bag is all Taylormade right down to the putter but my new driver is the Ping G25 for a reason. Shop online first because the G30 is already on its way so you should find the G25 cheaper. Only problem is the face is black and scuff marks are common on the face but who cares when your 275-300 in the fairway with a low iron into the green. July 4, 2014
Phenominal Driver Bought this driver after i demoed it at a driving range, and I am not disappointed. My drivers have been consistently in the fairway, with a consistent 5-8 yard fade. Consistency is key and this driver delivers exactly that. I've added about 10-20 yards to my drive as well. I bought the stiff shaft due to my high swing speed and had it re-gripped. The only downside I have seen after a few rounds, is that it does scratch fairly easily due to the black finish, but its nothing that bad. So glad I added this club to my bag. May 18, 2014
Great Driver Iffy Service I love this driver. I'm 67 and needed the 12Deg loft. The driver is adjustable but the wrench wasn't shipped with it. Pretty sloppy quality control. Not sure if I'm going to order anything else fromthis store.Bought my first one from Amazon last year 8.5deg. The wrench was included. The driver gets 5 Stars, Dickson gets 3.. May 2, 2014
G25 is the best I was trying out drivers for the high school golf season and i tried out the Nike Covert, Callaway X Hot, Cleveland Classic, and the Ping G25. The Nike was nice but it just didnt give me the distance i wanted. The Callaway gave me the distance i wanted but i couldnt control the ball like i wanted to. The Cleveland also didnt give me the distance and it didnt feel good off the face. The G25 gave me the feel i wanted with the distance and controllability. I used to drive it 270 and now i drive it near 300 every time July 29, 2013
Great Club! This was the first Ping club I have ever owned. I wasn't a Ping guy before this club, but I definitely am now! It looks great at address and feels good when you hit it solid. The club is forgiving and has a larger elongated head which gives you more confidence. One thing I was disappointed in was that the face scratched very easily. Just from hitting range balls there are now scratches on the face in the shape of the dimples on the ball. But other than that this club has been great! When I hit it perfect I am easily close up around the 300 yard range, but more consistently around 280. June 9, 2013
G25 Driver Traded in last years G15 driver and purchased the new G25 9.5 degree. Immediately turned it down to 9 degrees, which is very easy i might add. I have played 4 rounds since this purchase and have gained 20 to 25 yards off the tee. Well worth it!!!! April 23, 2013
Good driver but over priced The driver did give me another 10 yards and most importantly the drives were straight. I would highly recommend the driver. April 23, 2013
Forgiving and Long I recently bought the Taylormade R1 and just could not control it. I wanted to adjust the settings everytime I hit a bad shot. I picked this G25 up last week and have played three rounds with it. I have consistently found the fairway again and this club feels great even on mishits. It seems like the sweet spot is evenly distributed throughout the club face. I am very pleased and this is definitely a club that looks, feels and sounds great! April 11, 2013
