Nike Men's Alpha Pro TD Low Football Cleat 4.3 5 4 4
Good/Great Cleat Well I just want to start off with that it may be pointless for me to actually write this review at the end of a football season instead of before it or during it. Overall opinion: I did spend a lot of time researching this cleat and other Nike cleats before actually making the purchase. I do not regret making the purchase BUT when i first put them on it felt a bit big. Now that may not be Nike's fault because I have noticed that in all my size 13 shoes(probably should find 12.5s.. However the size in this one seems to be bigger than the other ones. In general Football cleats should not have a lot of extra room, so if you wear a 13 you should probably get a 12 for the season.I highly recommend trying on multiple sizes of the cleat you wish to buy to see which one feels the best at the moment and maybe the next season as well. If the cleat is too big I would probably buy more socks and then double up your socks for every time you wear them. Performance wise you may need to by a new cleat every season or 2 depending on your foot growth and how hard you are playing in the cleat. If you are a younger player (under high school) i would probably suggest you get cheaper cleats (40-100) but a new one every season or every other season depending if it works for you and financial status. For anybody in high school playing football this could be a perfect match for you. Performance and popularity: Now let me get into the actual cleat. In my hs football team (51-55 members) roughly 10 of them had the nike alpha pros some of them had the mids, some had the 3/4s, but around 3 players had the lows.on a side note a good 15 people half the nike codes. I have looked at other teams cleats and a lot of them had it in the lows or other variation of the pros. Also actual pros do wear this cleat (i have seen Jay Cutler wear it a lot) This i a very versatile cleat and a lot of different types of players had them but obviously the Lows are for more wr/cb/s but the 3/4 and mid would be more for all the other positions (most notably qb and rb) I am a qb/rb/cb/fs and I really did not find anything really good or horribly bad about the cleat.the cleat pattern seems to get the job done and I felt that the lows gave the fastest performance with the studs.I didn't exactly feel the exceptionally "explosive" in these cleats but I did feel it a little bit when we did sprints. If you are looking for the fastest cleat on the market for this price or lower i'm sure you can find something but with less support. I also was able to jump fairly high with this cleat but again if you are looking for the most springy type of cleat to catch them high footballs there may be better ones out there one the market as well. The cleat doesn't look like a cheap cleat in anyway shape or form, and the dynamic flywire is hard and durable on the outside but then also comfortable from the inside. the heel lock down was surprisingly good for me when I first started wearing them but i also laced them up all the way and really tightly. I also had to double up my socks like I mentioned before and it aired out pretty well. The black part in the tip of the cleats offer no padding or anything but are just there for an interesting colorway. I have never kicked or punted with this cleat but i would assume that it would do much better than a lot of other Nike cleats. I never played this on turf but do not think that they would be that good on it but you should probably take someones advice who has used it on actual turf. It does really well on grass I know for a fact but not so well when it it muddy. I'm not sure if it is just a low cleat thing or maybe it is because i bought it molded but i slid around A LOT on the field after or during a rain. I didn't see the other guys slip as much in the alpha pro cleats but if it rains a lot in your area I would get higher ones that are detachable for the most support. Final: If you really do not know what type of cleat to get and you are a skill position I would totally recommend this cleat to you. This is a basic but good/great cleat that could be bought has a team cleat for it's versatility. Keep on ballin :) November 4, 2014

Great cleat These cleats are great. They're Alittle snug at first but once you break them in they feel fine. I'm a lineman with wide feet and they fell really good I would highly recommend them. May 18, 2013
