Rated 5 out of 5 by pkjjr Great Product! Love this stove! We are using it with our travel trailer and no longer need to cook inside. We also are using it outside when we are at home, it sure beats heating up the inside of the house during the summer. This stove has the power and burner control to go from boil to simmer and anything in between. Fantastic for cooking with cast iron as well. June 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fitz Grill on Steroids This grill is amazing! I cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner using this grill during last camp outing in the California Redwoods, and it outperformed expectations. 17.5 BTU burners (each), this stove doesn't hold back. I used Lodge cast iron cookware with this stove - a marriage made in camping heaven, and the food cooked in 1/2 the time regular stoves and gas grills take. Highly recommend purchasing this stove for all camping kitchens or picnics. September 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by out west girl This stove rocks!!! I had been a Colman girl all my life (just an fyi), I read the reviews on this stove and decided to purchase one for this summers camping trip. All I can is wow! my husband talked about how great the stove was for days. This stove I would consider military grade. It is rugged (yes heavy too), but easy to use and feels just like you are cooking on a gas stove at home. My husband and I both lament about how well products used to be made "in the olden days" and how every thing today is made to last a couple of months...well not this stove, this stove will get passed on to our kids. Rated 4 out of 5 by Speed Decent piece at an affordable price Decent grill? Yes. Affordable price? Yes. Quality? Not so fast! It's an o.k. item, but as other reviewers have said, it lacks a bit in finishing. It came boxed up nicely and everything you needed was there including a spare knob and a wrench to tighten the hose to the unit. Nice! BUT! Be careful handling some of the edges. They're sharp! It could use a few passes with a file to round some of those edges. Once you're set up and ready to grill, you have to make sure the 4 tiny feet are on a nice rough surface or else it can slide right off whatever you've put it on. Don't put it on wood, or it will catch on fire! Don't put it on plastic or rubber, or it will melt! Dirt? Hmmm...We ended up using the flip side (rough side) of a big floor tile. Seemed to do the trick. Once you get the unit started, which was easy enough. Just turn the knob and get it to click-Poof! Presto! You've got fire! The last step is to adjust the airflow thingy. Uh...It's the thingy BEHIND the front face plate. It's not easy to get to unless you've got small hands. Make sure you do it quickly or the face plate will get hot from the burners. Once THAT is adjusted, you're almost ready to cook! If you need to adjust your flame, have a small rag handy since the knobs gets pretty hot! Now I know why they gave you an extra one. Other than that-this thing cooks! It got hot as promised! :) For the price, it's quite utilitarian and can come in handy in a lot of different situations! But, don't use it to warm up the house... ENJOY! June 11, 2013
