Bigger than I anticipated I'm a police officer and carry a firarm off-duty everywhere I go. I typically carry my pistol in the main compartment of my Camelbak Mule. By doing so, I have hydration, storage (wallet, keys, etc) and my weapon at all times. My Camel was getting pretty beat up after 2-years of hard service and I was going to replace it with the Geigerrig pack. I anticipated it being about the same size as my Camel (purchased online), but it was quite a bit bigger - too big for everyday carry (in the way I carry a pack). Although I sent it back, I checked it out thoroughly before mailing off. This pack is nice! Very robust construction and I'm sure for packpacking and other non-urban activities it'd be a great pack.
