These are great shoes, and not only are they comfortable for hiking, but they're my everyday life shoes as well!

these shoes are a must for slick Rock. I even took them in the river and on wet Rock, never slipping. Super light, and comfy.

I have done some light hikes in them and I'm impressed, heavy duty hiking boots they are not but light weight go anywhere shoes they are. Quick drying well cushioned, I will be buying more Merrill's

The shoe is constructed well, it's durable, the traction work good, and breathable. They look good. They were comfortable on the trail and stable on dirt, but on the streets of N.Y.C. walking for couple hours was painful on the heel. This is my person issue with this shoe yours could differ. I needed a little more cushioning.

Love this shoe, very light and comfortable. have walked and hiked about 100 miles since purchase and they are still in great shape. They are stylish enough to wear anywhere and very functional.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wave Crasher Good but kinda weird
Look, when it comes to super shoes I barely know an insole from a sole. I just know that I walk a lot. These Proterra shoes have what I must call "a lean back" quality. The techies call it something like a negative heel to toe camber. Who cares what it is called, I just know that its kind of uncomfortable. I am too old to be teaching my feet new tricks.
The shoes so far seem to be tough and light weight, which is all I ever wanted in the first place. So I am going to tough it out and see if I can get used to them.
Would I buy another pair? No.
Would I recommend? No. Not unless the other person is some kind of foot masochist.

I wore the shoes the day after I bought them on a ten mile hike in the north Ga mountains. They kept my feet dry through shallow creek crossings but on the way ba k it rained hard and long at which point the water was in. I will wear the again as soon as I clean them up.
