Rated 5 out of 5 by great bike this is a great bike and use it on single track mostly and it handles great on roots logs turns and berms its an overall great bike i give more of 4 1/2 but u cant put that , i give it that because on my first ride with it though it was partly my fault my disc break got bent and had to spend 45 dollars for a new one, and the store they give you great customer service they'll run through the breaks and gears with you and go through the yes and no of using it April 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Happy, but having some minor issues I'm happy with it, but having issues with the gears. Hopefully someone can adjust them this weekend. April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by bikes are cool purchased as transportation for a family member, Its in expensive, sturdy, light for the purpose, and versatile for what it is needed for. if you are looking for a bike, it is one March 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT BIKE my XE is now 3 years old and has been passed on to my 12 year old son. With the exception of a front tire(Flat the could not be repaired) and minor tune ups i have had ZERO issues with this bike. I ride 5 days a week on street and trails and rack up probably 20 miles a week and this bike has never let me down. There are more expensive bikes out there but unless you burn $100 bills to keep warm and do extreme technical trails this bike will do. I am looking at another XE now that my son is old enought to ride with me and will not hesitate to purchase it. March 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good bike Good price Not a bad bike. Good value for the price............ March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Bike, Great Value First bike I've owned in over 15 years. Wanted something to ride light/medium trails and some pavement. Solid frame and the front suspension works well and is adjustable. Disc brakes are worth the upgrade from other bikes that offer the "standard" bike brakes. Gears switch smoothly and quickly adjust up or down. Tires grip well and turn easily, though not as swift as a racing bike. Seat could use slightly more padding, but the comfort probably has to do more with the riders rear end than the bikes seat. Dick's did a great job preparing the bike and making sure everything was in proper working order, a service you're not likely to receive at other retailers. March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by worth it!!!! This was the first legit MTB I've bought I've had it for a little over a month now and gotta say its great I'm very pleased with everything about it. I ride it every chance I get! My daily ride consists of a few miles of paved trail and a few miles of some fairly technical single track. I was originally dead set on a fs bike but due to not having to a $1000 laying around I settled for this hard tail. after the first ride I realized I didn't settle at all. The components arnt top of the line but definitely do the job I imagine I'll just upgrade them as they wear out.Its extremely light and nimble Which is awesome. The only negetives are the seat and plastic pedals both inexpensive to replace. I ordered it from dicks website it arrived in 3 days and comes mostly assembled. Its easy to put together but takes a little time tune the brakes and gear shifters if your unfamiliar with how they work. I just looked up some videos on YouTube its not complicated at all. I love the look of the bike as well the paint job is really nice it is a matte finish though which is kind of hard to tell from the online pictures. I like it but some of the reviews I've read said it looked cheaply painted but I think they were just expecting the glossy look.Bottom line great buy definitely got more than I expected I would recommend this to anyone interested in getting into beginner/intermediate trail riding March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great starter bike Bike is easy to work on and I have little issues with it. The cables took a little while to stretch out initially but the bike runs smoothly now! The stock tires are great for all terrain and the only thing I don't like about the bike is the handlebar grips. Eventually I will get a full suspension bike but for now this is a great bike to use for everything! March 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ride I've read reviews in regards to this bike. I have to say that fot it's price, it's a great buy. I purchased this bike online and took it directly to the nearest Dicks sporting goods, they put it together and tuned it on a few days. I've rode this bike for a week and am happy with this purchase. Very solid and comfortable. The only setback was the seat that came with the bike is useless. Very hard and uncomfortable, but with the new seat that I purchased, bike is money! March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome bike. The bike is very nice. The gear system is very nice as well. I love it. I spend a lot of time rideing it. February 26, 2014
