Customer Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5áby 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5áby Took getting used too, but I love it now I don't typically do reviews but figured this driver is worthy and needed some more love than it's gotten on this site. My old driver was Callaway RAZR Fit, which I absolutely loved. I ordered a different shaft for the RAZR that ended up making that driver one of the most consistent drivers I had ever hit with its adjustability. A few weeks ago the club head cracked. I heavily debated if I wanted to reorder another RAZR or try something a little bit newer. I made the cardinal golf sin by ordering this club without ever hitting it, but I did so because I have the Adams Super S irons, hybrids, and the Fast 12 3 wood, and I hit all of those better than any other club I previously owned in those categories and absolutely love them. My LS is a 9.5 with the stock shaft in stiff flex. Before adjustable drivers my natural swing created a predictable fade with the occasional slice. Typical trajectory for me is medium and yards with roll on average is 275. Golf twice a week in summer months. So the first time I played with the club I used the standard setting and hated the club outside of a few drives where I really connected with the ball and it went a mile, it mainly just felt dead to me on contact compared to what I was used to with the RAZR. My ball flight was too low and had a strong fade on the standard setting. After that first round I adjusted the club to the +1* loft, 1* up lie, 1* face closed setting to promote a draw, hit the range and that did the trick. My next round of golf was very satisfying when using the driver. Except for two shots that were just terrible swings, I was consistently hitting straight drives with penetrating ball flights (consistency was on par with RAZR but LS was just a touch longer on avg). I'm not going to sit here and say that it added 30 yds to my drives like some people do with new clubs (was their previous club completely wooden?) After two rounds and a range visit I really like how it feels, I understand now that it wasn't really a dead feeling it was just "different" from what I was used too, because when I hit it now I know immediately when I caught it clean in the sweet spot and even when I don't it still flies true with good distance. When I make solid contact it does go 5-10 yards further than the RAZR Fit. The ball does appear to have a little more speed but I have no stats to back that up. I also really like the stock shaft too (coming from a guy who swapped out twice on the RAZR). At the end of the day this is a great driver with a hot face, and off center hits still achieve nice distance but you can definitely feel when you hit it off center. It's not going to completely fix the occasional bad swing as no driver can, but it's adjustability is definitely sufficient to compensate for your swing flaws to give you a predictable ball flight. All the expert reviews talk about how they don't like the sound or the feel of it, when that is purely just based off of what you are accustomed to and a new type of driver always takes some getting used to/figuring out. Rated 3 out of 5áby Pretty good club head, poor shaft +2 handicap. Couldn't tell if I gained any yardage. Ball feels solid off the face but I wouldn't call it explosive. But for me, the problem was the stock shaft (Fuji Kura Kage x-flex). No matter the settings, shots were high push cuts. Club may work for me with a different shaft but at the added expense.
