Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Work perfect. Seems to work perfectly. Haven't used in the field yet, but have practiced in the yards. Looks like it will last a long time. March 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just in case... If your going to buy a ferro rod this is a good choice. The rod is of made of good quality ferrocerrium, not the cheap stuff that barely sparks like some of the cheaper, camping company, made ones. And Its simple, no moving parts to fail or springs to rust. with a knife, or the enclosed striker, you get a good spark that will easily light tinder. Tinder is a must though, gathered dry grass works well. There's a reason people use the name brand Firesteel for all ferro rods, like people use the name brand Band-aid to describe all adhesive medical bandage strips. Get a length of paracord and keep it around your neck when in the wilderness. Keep one in your F.E.M.A. 72 hour bag, just in case. July 4, 2013
