Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by NEW COVERT TOUR DRIVER The other day i got the new nike covert tour driver. I was hitting a nike vr srt8 tour driver. ther are a lot of things that i like about the new nike drivers. the red head with the white nike swoow on the hill is nice. i am hitting more fayways and the driver is easy to mover both way ( left to right and right to left). i was hitting my vr srt8 about 270. but with the covert tour i an hitting it 280-295 with role. i love the cavity back in it it makes the face hotter and when you miss the middle of the club face it does not loose power of the ball. nike has change the game. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Driver I tried nearly every availabe driver before settling on this Nike Covert. I love the balance and weight as well as the sound it makes when you catch it just right! It is not a forgiving club, but when hit right, it has added at least 15 yards for me off the tee. Even more impressive was the patience and professionalism of the golf staff at Dick's during my selection process. I made multiple visits to the store and simulater room where I received excellent assistance, advice, and information about the products and my swing. September 26, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by NICE-NICE Immediately hit straight drives instead of fads (slices) as compared to other adj 460cc drivers I played the last two years. The tour 430 cc is easy on the eyes and easy to swing on plane. Distance was superb. Golf is easier when played from the fairway instead of the right rough. June 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Covert Tour - Real Nice Stick!!! I have been hitting a cobra S2 for a few years now and have been contemplating upgrading for a year. I swing about 118mph and my ave drive is about 300 with a slight fade. I am a mid 80's player, but primarily because my shortgame is terrible! I have a very low trajectory so I normally hit a 9.5 but 10 - 10.5 serves me well at times when I need more carry. I have a few average golfer friends who swear by the TM RBZ's, but recently heard from one friend (single digit whose opinion I value# that the covert was quality, so I went and tested it. I went to my local dicks indoor simulator, and have known for a while I should upgrade to a tp or tour club due to my swing speed, so I asked to demo the ones they had in stock. They had a rbz tp and a rbz 2 tour, as well as the covert tour. I liked the covert tour the best, hands down!!! I only hit 5 - 10 balls with each club, so take this review for what you will. The Nike felt solid and I was immediately impressed! I hit one a little towards the toe and one a touch low and still couldn't even feel the ball leave the club. My shots were workable due to the smaller head, as I was able to hit a fade and a draw. The ones I squared up went about 320 and were straighter and 5 - 10 yards longer than either rbz. The dicks guy even laughed at the last one I hit when he said it didn't wrinkle and wanted to see the side spin rate #which was "9"... yes, I said 9rpm#. Which might be the straightest shot I have ever hit in my life! I wasn't planning on buying, just comparing at the moment, but I left with a new driver. It was on sale for 349, with a 10% off coupon, so the 315 price tag is the most I have ever paid #I never bought a tour or tp before# but was still reasonable for a 2013. Plus they were giving me an extra 50% on trade ins so all in all paid $200 for it. I am playing on Monday, for only the second time this season, as I recently had ankle surgery, and I feel like I will be completely confident walking up to the first tee box. June 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great driver. I had to play two times with it, before getting to know it. But it's a great driver. And it does hit long shots. May 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love Titleist...I now love Nike VR! I have had the same Titleist driver for 8 years. I finally pulled the trigger and this driver did not dissappoint. I could do without the loft and face angle options but this driver has power and performance. Very pleased! May 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the feel and Extra Yards Tried out many drivers. Loved the feel and lightness of the head. Put a new oversize grip on it and am driving it an extra 20 yards. April 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this club i previously played the Nike VR-S 9.5 degree. a fade is my natural shape but with this club i just really couldn't adjust to keep it in play. i was hitting more slices then anything. yes i know usually isn't the driver as much as the user especially considering im a high teens handicap. but i still decided to pick this club up because i loved the red color and the nike swoosh and thought the cavity back was kinda cool along with the black face. the ball flight with my old driver was a tad lower then i liked and i felt i was losing yards. so my first time out with the covert i set it to 11.5 and closed the face and teed it up at the first tee. my first swing with this club felt so smooth and effortless to get the ball out there. the contact sounded crisp. i ended up hitting a big high slice "first time swinging the clubs in 6 months" even with the slice the ball traveled a mile. the next tee was better still rusty from not hitting the clubs for so long. but however as the round went on the tee shots got better and better and ended up being a much manageable fade allowing me to aim for the shot and still find the fairway or the at least the 2nd cut. my second round with this club was amazing my swing came around and i was aiming straight down the middle and staying there and gaining about 15-20 yards and since then iv played about 3 other times and was either straight and playing from the short stuff or the 2nd cut due to my fade. so i have been highly pleased with this club it has eliminated me from playing my 2nd shot from behind the trees and having to waste a stroke by punching out. i absolutely love this and would recommend you to try it. Rated 2 out of 5 by I Was Expecting More The season just started, but so far I am not totally impressed with this club. It's easy to adjust and does tend to hit pretty straight. But I don't think its worth the money. I have Nike hybrids that are excellent clubs but I feel that they missed it with this one. April 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Distance and control Before I purchased this driver I couldn't find a driver I was comfortable with. I had good distance off the tee but no control. Now I increased my distance about 50 yards and I am driving the ball straight down the greens. I would reccomend this driver to all. April 7, 2013
