Rated 5 out of 5 by BP Good purchase Bought it as a gift because of the balance and light weight. It casts well. She loves it. October 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by mark Cast nice Reel was very smooth , casting was great. I'm a novice fisherman at best I needed a rod and reel that were light for a backpacking trip and this combo and it was great it breaks down for storage or in my case backpack camping. September 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Coachturtle Solid value Very nice combo - especially for the price. Likely will buy another soon. September 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Grasshopper great rod, mediocre reel Reel sticks on first turn after cast, workable but throws off your flow when casting. All in all a good deal September 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bradl3et an amzing combo for the price! I had bought this combo about a month ago because I had broken my two other rods and I think it was a steal. The rod and the reel are both really good quality, I've caught about twenty catfish ranging from 5-20 pounds and the rod withstood the fights and the reel i am going to replace for my personal preference, don't get me wrong its a good reel but I', not a fan of the handle on it myself but i highly recommend this combo, it casts great and the retrieve is also great! Rated 3 out of 5 by Rhino68W 1st one broke, 2nd one isn't bad so far. Bought one, then the tip broke as I was tying on the first lure...Pretty lame. Took it back and Dicks replaced the rod no problem, I kept the same reel as I had already spooled it with 6 lbs. mono-filament and it is super smooth and strong! Dicks went and got me a new rod no questions asked. The second one has caught me a couple 1-3 lbs. bass so far. Seems to be better "quality" August 9, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by mike m rod is junk, the reel isn't bad I picked up this combo for $50 last year and definitely liked. I caught a decent amount of fish and kept it in a safe place when not using. When packing up my gear one day I went to break down my rod in a non aggressive way and the rod snapped about 3 inches down from the top. Back to my ugly stick I go. August 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bradl3et Gotta test it. I just bought this rod tonight and have yet to test it out, I'm going for some catfish later tomorrow night and ill see if I like it. Of not than I'll be returning it for a field and stream tec-spec. July 24, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kyle Snapped at the handle on the first cast I'm sure it had seen some abuse before I got to it, but seemed fine handling it in the store. Took my first cast and the rod handle snapped right below the reel. Didn't take the gamble on a 2nd one, returned it for something else. June 17, 2014
