Rated 2.2 out of 5áby 12 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5áby I had to return this towable. The grand kids loved this towable but it tended to dive and created a lot of pressure on the tub and boat. This caused a small hole just behind the tow rope and under a little bit. August 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5áby Difficult to keep atop the water behind the boat. When hooked up and towed behind the boat, it was difficult to get started and gain any kind of speed to help the ride. It seems that the quick connect is mounted too far below the water line and it pushes the water, pulling the front of the tube below the water line as the speed increases. The only way to overcome it is to have the rider(s) stay far back on the tube as it gets started and until a good speed is gained. It also seems to help if the connection to the boat is a bit higher than at the transom. August 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5áby ugh Ripped apart first use. Bought a less expensive one a meijers that held up better. July 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5áby Terrible ! It was a constant fight to keep this tube from diving. It didn't matter if a child was on it or an adult. It did not leak air. I returned it and bought the Obrian Hammer Head (2 person) and love it. Dicks had a no hassle return that was great. July 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5áby Inflatable Submarine? I've enjoyed tubing on an old "doughnut" tube for 25 years, but my kids do not like the water which accumulates in the well and splashes them. They were very excited when I brought this "solid" tube home for them to try. My 50#, 7 year old daughter was the brave pilot for the maiden voyage. We started the boat and the tube immediately started diving and the poor kid freaked. We then sent my 65#, 9 year old son out, with the instructions to try leaning back. Same result, and another wet and cold child, after getting pulled all the way under the 53 degree Puget Sound water. At that point, I figured that they were just not leaning back enough and/or not allowing it to get up on plane. I went out and leaned back as far as I could. The boat started and the tube seemed to get up on plane. Thinking I was in the clear, I started to lean back forward to a normal riding position (I promise, I was not too far forward), and the rope (inserted low on the tube) caught the water and immediately pulled the tube and I under the water, until the rope snapped. We gave up at that point and decided to pull the tube back to shore? But even with NO RIDERS on it, it immediately submarined when we started moving forward with any speed. I can't imagine how anyone keeps this thing above the water, even though I'm not sure of how the physics works with a giant air bubble being pulled under water! July 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5áby fell apart came apart and filled with water after about 2 hours June 3, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5áby We had a blast on this! Once we realized the riders had to shift towards the back, we had some great rides. At first, the front kept getting pulled underwater. So we fill it with a lot more air and was better, but still went under at times. Too much weight to the front was the culprit. April 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5áby Performed well - lots of fun Have used several times. The tube has performed and held up well. Hours of fun. August 29, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5áby Sorry, not a good one Bought this on clearance and now can see why. Same thing happened as with other reviews. First off, the submarining is terrible, the kids have to hang off the back until the boat is planing. The problem with that is that the straps are only at the top which makes it near impossible to be able to grab ahold of something stable. Second, as soon as you go outside the wake for a little skimming across the water, the passengers will fly off, guaranteed. The "wings" on the outside do not help at all. We took ours back after 10 minutes and three fall-offs. August 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5áby Slow and sinks I've used a lot of tubes at different camps for kids and was looking for the next really good tube. The comfort top looked nice. First ride on the water on take off the tube submarines. I have the kids sit back and pull up on the tube and it takes off, as I come up to speed of about 20 mph the tube feels like it is really dragging and riding low in the water ( I have 2 small middle school kids on board) doesn't want to swing from side to side. Double checked my air to be sure tube was full and was ok. Next 2 rides pretty much same as first except with bigger kids it sunk worse. I returned and bought another Obrien hammerhead, much faster tube and doesn't sink on take off August 10, 2013
