Customer Reviews:

Rated 4.4 out of 5áby 39 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5áby Shake, rattle, and roll I carefully read all of the reviews and decided, despite what was written, to purchase this system anyways. From the reviews, I read that I should make sure to follow the instructions to the letter, not taking any shortcuts. Well, I did, and I'm sorry that I a) didn't spend the extra money for a sturdier system, or b) didn't pay for a professional installer so that person could be held accountable for the shaking. It's interesting that there's such a wide variety of experiences with the shaking. I wonder if someone compared region/soil type/concrete brand, whether patterns would emerge. All I have to say is that I did follow the instructions to the letter, and the shaking is significant. If I had to do it over again, I would definitely not buy this system and I would have it professionally installed. That being said, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. It definitely takes multiple people to do this, especially getting the backboard on (it took three of us - two to hold it and one to insert the bolts). The backboard is solid and the entire system seems to be high quality. June 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5áby Solid construction; feels durable; fair price A very stable in-ground basketball hoop. Assembly was minimal; you will need 3+ people to attach the tempered backboard (heavy). Bottom line, as in everything in life, you pay for what you get; do you want something that lasts 10+ years or 20+ years? That difference could be a thousand dollars. Goliath 60" In-Ground with Yard Guard was on sale for $599.99; Goalrilla same size is $1,400.00. Let's be honest, this hoop is for your average family; not for a 6'8" 245lb son who has a scholarship for a major college. One more thing, take a look at your best portable...$279-$300; I'll spend the extra $300 for something this solid and without breaking the bank. NOTE: It's imperative you follow the directions for the anchor bolt mounting system; this ultimately provides the best stability. I dug deeper and added extra rebar; worth it! June 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby You get what you pay for Amazing hoop and is well worth the full price of 799 even though I got it on sale for 599. Follow instructions and this hoop is rock solid no wobble here. Yard defender and pad is a great addition and the assembly is straight forward and took 1 hr (not including hole digging and cement - let set for atleast 3 days no less an don't skimp on hole digging.) Rated 5 out of 5áby Great purchase Bought this for my 6yo son's birthday and had it professionally installed for about $300. I played college basketball and I've coached several high level players. I couldn't be any happier w/ the price and product. I would recommend this for any age or skill level. May 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Gr8 bball hoop!! This hoop was fairly easy to install and is exactly what we wanted!! We dug a 3' hole and concreted the rods and set the stand in concrete. Let set 3 days b4 attaching the pole...looks gr8 and its very solid!! May 16, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5áby This product is bad for the price This product is crab for the price and trouble, the rim is cheap and plasticy material, the spring in the rim is nice for dunking which you can't do on this product. If you are a shooter DONT buy this hoop. With the way the rim is made you'd be better off spending 50 dollars in Walmart on a rim. Also the netting broke down in about a few months so if you want to waste money go ahead and proceed to buy May 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5áby Hoop is much better than the reviews!!! So before I purchased this in ground hoop I read all the reviews and mainly ppl was talking about how this rim shook every time you shot a ball, I must tell you that is not the case what so ever, the hoop is very solid no shake at all but guess that could be because I had them install it....they did a great job!!! Rated 5 out of 5áby Excellant hoop for a reasonable price. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews regarding the pole/backboard shaking. With any home system there will be some shake...this backboard shakes a little, but nothing to warrant any concern. Setup is what you expect...it takes several days. I did a few things in addition to the instructions - I added tent stakes in the concrete (along with the provided rebar) and filled the pole with sand. You have to caulk the base and the crease where the two poles meet. No big deal. Filling it with sand allows you to take the system if you move (vs. filling with concrete). I am very satisfied with this system! December 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5áby Love this court The people from Dicks sporting goods were great !! They were kind and answered all our questions !! On time and professional . I am very happy with this product and glad we had them install it. I was nervous with guys coming out to install it and all but they did a great job and I could tell they knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend this product and using them to install it !! October 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5áby Set your expectations for this system low so you do not end up with the "Shaky Breaky Heart"!!! Firstly, the Dick's sales person left the system standing upright on the two wheel while he walked away... CRASH onto the floor. So loud my wife heard it in a different part of the building. Not a great start. Concerning the system itself, this system is way undersized for the 60" Glass backboard. This product meets the midway price point in the market and boast little extras to seal the deal. Do not fall for it... pole and anchor system are undersized for the weight of the backboard and mounting brackets. This system shakes all over the place when in use, and I don't mean just a little shake... I mean a lot of shake. Sometimes, for well over a minute. I read all of the reviews Dick's had online, and most seemed happy with the purchase. Those that weren't, I figured may have made installation mistakes. What I should have done was to research on the Internet and viewed several of the shaking videos out there... more realistic. I increased the size of the anchor hole, added additional rebar, allowed 48 hours to cure, and the system was leveled to perfect bubble and tightened per instructions... did not matter.... shake, rattle and roll. Do Not set your expectations too high for this system as you will be disappointed. If you can handle the backboard shaking well after the ball hits the rim or glass, then you should be happy. If you want a more solid experience, purchase a better engineered system. Two piece pole was no picnic to put together according to instruction. Slamming your pole on the ground to get it together may not be the best assembly experience. I contacted the manufacturer and was told any attempt to try and "beef up" the internal area of the pole (concrete or sand) will void the warranty. Do yourself a favor and trade up to a one-piece system that's at least 6"sq and has the appropriate pole and fastening design to be stable and secure. Trust your gut here... I didn't and regret it.
