Customer Reviews

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good kid's real This rod is affordable, and easy to use. The line that comes with it is pretty weak, but that can be changed out. July 8, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Very disappointed I was excited to use this in the Colorado creek while on vacation. The tip broke on the 1at day. July 6, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not generally satisfied. The rod and reel I purchased didn't offer the smooth operation I was looking for in a combo like I thought. I'm a freshwater fisherman who loves to use light tackle, but the reel didn't cast smoothly, there was a drag to the effort. Not happy, but, I used it so I guess I own it. July 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great Shaking my head at some of these reviews. It is a 20 dollar pole, and great for children. If it is not good enough for you, you should have spent more. My kid loves it, and when he breaks it i will buy another. Also the design will allow for an easy introduction to spinning reals to children. Via the reel placement and trigger placement. Great job October 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Pole broke with little flex. Pole broke with little flex. Reel is alright. I swapped this out for ugly stick combo with same reel. October 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Shakespeare Micro Series Undercast Spincast Combo Decent rod, had a little trouble with the line but quickly able to fix. It's 2 weeks old and I've got about 20 fish so far. Would buy again. September 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has features and easy to use Took this Shakespeare on my first trout fishing trip ever and it work great. Easy to cast, and handled the fish great July 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great little pole that everyone should have! So far I have no complaints about this ultra lite pole! It fits on the rear bench seat inside my truck and is a blast catching even the smallest fish with. It really feels like you have a monster on the other end of the line when you see how much this pole bends even for fish less than 1/2 a pound :) Very easy to cast and great for little kids, I would recommend every person owning at least one small pole like this! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Combo for river fishing Great size and price. Seems to be perfect for river fishing when you are in a confined spot. May 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by 2 of 4 nonfunctional After purchasing these items for my grandchildren to use during a June visit, I decided to try one in my pond. When I hooked a small sunfish the retrieve was not allowing the line to be rewound. At this time I decided to check the other three. The next one I examined has a faulty drag. At this time I decided to bring them back to the store in Lancaster. I wish they would have worked because they are the right size for my grandchildren. April 24, 2013
