High quality and value I purchased this Pflueger reel because I have its little brother on an ultra-light setup. That reel has given me several years of good service on a St. Croix ultra-light rod. I purchased this larger reel and paired it on another St. Croix rod, which happend to be on a trade-in sale. Its nine ball bearings give it a smooth, quality feel to the reel and the drag system seems steady and predictable. I've done considerable cranking of a spinnerbait with the reel so far, and it casts nicely and is quiet and smooth on the retrieve. The fishing has been poor lately, so I can't evaluate how it handles Mr. Big, but it is a pleasure to use, and if it gives the kind of service I have enjoyed out of its smaller counterpart, it will have been a good choice. GREAT I first decided to buy a quantum accurist, the drag broke on it so I decided to go back and pay for this bad boy. Immediately I could feel a difference at the river, my cast was easily 10yr or more with less effort. The reel is so smooth and looks great. I must say I caught 6 fish today (first day), and I am extremely excited about using this reel again April 15, 2013
