Love this grill. It fit well on my older 2 burner Camp Chef stove. We used the optional heat plate known as a flame tamer to prevent any hot spots. It does add time to the heat up but was not that bad. Time to 350 degrees was about 10 minutes, perfect for steaks. We also used a few hard wood chips for smoke and the food came out perfect. You can get smoking chips anyplace that has Bar B Q supplies. Soak them in water for about 15 minutes before starting. I am going to use the chips in it every time for that extra smoke flavor and the smell will drive anyone close to you crazy, YUM. It cleans up with a hose and some soap. The grate just needs to be scraped with any Bar B Q grate brush. Don't soak the grate in water or you may remove the seasoning and make it rust. You will get some flare ups when cooking greasy meats like hamburgers. I found this to be less extreme than on my other grills and was easy to put out. When the lid is close it hold the grate in place so it does not rattle and can be carried in any position. The grate also recesses a bit so food can?t roll off. I have lost many a hotdog in the past, not any more. I also recommend you get the carry bag. Not to expensive and makes it easy to carry and store and also keeps it clean.

Used it for the first time today. Was a little worried about it not having a bottom on it like their other boxes. Thought there might be a big mess. NOT THE CASE! Works great and use low heat like the instructions tell you to do. Can wait to try it as a smoker. Everyone was impressed and the food was great!
