Polar H7 Heart Rate Sensor 3.8 5 9 9
very accurate and reliable Does the trick and works with multiple android apps especially Runkeeper. Works great. October 20, 2014
Connects to gym equipment and a smartphone. Like the headline says, the sensor connects automatically to gym equipment and connects via Bluetooth to a smart phone. Polar has their own app that will monitor and track your heart rate activity for you. October 11, 2014
Works great through first 2 or 3 battery changes The problem is that it stops working after about 8 months or so. After a few battery changes, the darn thing stops pairing with iPhone and my Polar Loop which I really like. I have a number of people at my local gym that are experiencing the same thing. Unfortunately I recommended H7 to several friends and they all hate the fact that $80 product that they were relying on for a good while turned out to be junk. Polar needs to take care of the defect. Polar has great features Since it gets damaged trying to use a quarter to open it, take it to one of the jewelry stores or watch stores in the mall and have them replace it. If you purchase the battery from them, they probably won't charge you for replacing it. August 4, 2014
Works great Pairs well with Polar watch, exercise equipment, and via Bluetooth with iPhone Polar app. Allows gps monitoring with iPhone. June 13, 2014
Great device while it worked I used this device for almost a year and it was great while it lasted. However, the battery died and I attempted to replace it. However, similar to another writer I was unable to use a quarter to open the back. In the end the back was damaged and the device will not work even with a new battery. June 6, 2014
Polar heart monitor Awesome, set up was easy and I was ready to work out in minutes. My heart rate and calories burned are easily monitored and stored. February 6, 2014
Works with Android I just want to write a counterpoint to the previous review. This sensor does work with Android, but only with the newer phones. Your phone needs to support Bluetooth 4.0, aka BLE, Bluetooth LE, or Bluetooth Low Energy. Even then your fitness app may not support this sensor so do some research before you buy. Hopefully Polar will release their app for Android at some point. NOTE: Star rating not based on performance, I just wanted to get the info out there. November 27, 2013
Great until you leave it in the summer heat with your wet towel I don't recommend leaving this in your car with a wet towel in the summer. The device died on me and I had to buy a replacement due to moisture. That and I couldn't pry the device open with a quarter to replace the battery and damaged it. Other than that it's a great device to link up with your iPhone. It's not available for Android which is sad. You're stuck with using an iPhone on this device. September 26, 2013
