BUY REEL GET ROD FOR $5 salesman was very helpful and let me know of the buy reel get rod for $5 ... a nice setup March 25, 2014
good value for the price Only used once since I bought it. Decent rod at good price. Good feel and balance. March 11, 2014
Good value I needed (well wanted) a 2 piece rod for easier traveling and keeping in my truck. Didn't want to spend a lot of $$$ for little use and i typically hate 2 piece rods but decided to give these a try when i saw them on sale for $20. Got the 7' MH, So it's not a 5 star rod, at this price how could it be, but I gave it 5 stars for its value, very nice, fairly light and sensitive rod for the price, and for being a 2 piece that's just even more impressive, ver good value, very impressed and well worth it's normal price. Flippin' & Pitchin' Worms I've been looking for a two-piece 7'6" heavy casting rod for Texas-rigged worming. That's not easy to find for a Bass rod. Easy for Steelhead or Salmon, but I didn't want a 16"+ handle - it gets in the way when you're flippin' & pitchin' plastic worms. Found this while strolling through DSG. Pros: * Two-piece construction. * It's cheap. * Aluminum Oxide guides. * Relatively light at 5.9oz. * Short handle - 12" from tip of trigger to end of butt. * Exposed blank through grip. Cons: * Short on eyes. It has 7 + tip, and only one of those is double-foot. * The first eye is 24" from the reel face. * Fast Action - wish it was extra-fast. * The grip diameter is a little small. With that said, since I'm not distance casting with it, the eye shortage won't be a big problem. At this price-point, I'll make do with the fast action and small grip. Bottom line: I find this rod to be mission-adequate for flippin' & pitchin' Texas-rigged plastics. Especially so at this price! September 17, 2013
good rod, great value Great value, good looking, cast far. brought me lot of bass. The only concern is during the fighting of the first bass, there is a sound of crack from the joint of two pieces. I checked closely later, found no visible crack. No problem so far, but the crack sound made me a little bit nervous. August 29, 2013
great for the price This rod is well worth what little you pay for it, very sensitive and landed a 6 1/2 lb bass on it without a problem. Noticed that you may want to check the guides before purchasing one though. August 13, 2013
New pole The pole has been sufficient for dock fishing. I have not had the chance to test it on large fish but, it works great for pan fish. August 6, 2013
Great, but only for a month? I bought the one piece HIS602Ml 6-0 medium light action rod for 4-10 lb line. I bought it the day before Father's Day as a gift. It worked great for one month. I caught my hook on a weed while bank fishing, and as I have done a thousand times with many rods [including this one], gave it a slight jerk and it snapped in two. I guess it was made on a Friday? This is the only rod that has ever snapped in half on me under any circumstances. August 5, 2013
Short has it's advantages Works great in the places that have very little clearance for casting, trees, bushes etc. Has good tip action to get the lure out there. August 4, 2013
Outstanding This rod is durable, and well balanced I'm very impressed with its powerful backbone of the best 2 piece rods out. July 19, 2013
