Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ultralight This product is great, I have grown to love u ultra lights and for a low prices rod it was very strong and dependent, only thing that bothers me is that the Dicks sporting goods store I purchased this pole from would not return it so I could get another( was within the return policy). Rated 3 out of 5 by Nothing special Bought 2 because they were on sale, one spinning, one casting. Not the best both r heavy, and did not balance well. Not very sensitive. Just very average rods. September 11, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Lasted one day I bought one of these and the tip broke on the first fish. I had 4lb test so it wasn't a monster fish. The best part? The warranty link on this page doesn't work. That was an expensive fish. August 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by EXCELLENT FOR THE MONEY I was wanting a rod and reel to use in the smaller streams near where I live. I went to Dick's to see what they had. I settled on the Inferno rod but they were out of the ultra-light reel. A very helpful sales clerk went to the back to see if they had any but they did not. I asked if he could sell the display and he said yes. He even loaded it with 4 lb. test line for me. I have used it a couple of times and I really like it. August 4, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by nice rod at reasonable price Nice lightweight rod for pan fish and small bass, which is what I fish for. Good flexibility. Comfortable grip. April 9, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by great until it broke for no reason I got this rod a couple of months ago and used it maybe twice. I got it because i needed an inexpensive two-piece rod for portability. I was impressed with the fact that i could get a carbon rod for this price. Yesterday, I was putting on a new lure, and pulled down the rod tip (slightly), when it broke below the second guide. I will be doing my best to get my money back from my local Dick's, because this product is clearly poorly made. Just put the money towards something decent. July 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great sensitivity but overall a fragile rod. The Field & Stream Inferno spinning rod has amazing handling and sensitivity. This "ultra light" action pole gets wonderful distance for a pole its size. It achieves such distance effortlessly as well. When a fish takes your bait on the Inferno you fell it immediately. It doesn't matter if you've hooked a tiny sunny or a mighty bass, either way you're going to know right away that something is on your line. The down side to this pole is that it is very fragile. The top two inches of my own pole snapped clean off just from being lightly bumped into a wall. My brother got the Inferno as well. He lost the top inch in a similar manner. Another thing to watch out for is pulling to hard on a snag. I prefer a braided line when I use a spinning reel. If I pulled to hard on a snag i could hear the rod start to crack. Over two months small wear and tear of that nature caused the rod to develop a flaw. Inevitably one day a fish took my bait and the pole snapped in two. So while the Field & Stream Inferno does have great handling and sensitivity, I would only recommend it to an angler who is very gently on his gear because the durability of this rod leaves a lot to be desired.
