Field & Stream Inferno Spinning Rod 3.1 5 7 7
great until it broke for no reason I got this rod a couple of months ago and used it maybe twice. I got it because i needed an inexpensive two-piece rod for portability. I was impressed with the fact that i could get a carbon rod for this price. Yesterday, I was putting on a new lure, and pulled down the rod tip (slightly), when it broke below the second guide. I will be doing my best to get my money back from my local Dick's, because this product is clearly poorly made. Just put the money towards something decent. July 29, 2014
Great sensitivity but overall a fragile rod. The Field & Stream Inferno spinning rod has amazing handling and sensitivity. This "ultra light" action pole gets wonderful distance for a pole its size. It achieves such distance effortlessly as well. When a fish takes your bait on the Inferno you fell it immediately. It doesn't matter if you've hooked a tiny sunny or a mighty bass, either way you're going to know right away that something is on your line. The down side to this pole is that it is very fragile. The top two inches of my own pole snapped clean off just from being lightly bumped into a wall. My brother got the Inferno as well. He lost the top inch in a similar manner. Another thing to watch out for is pulling to hard on a snag. I prefer a braided line when I use a spinning reel. If I pulled to hard on a snag i could hear the rod start to crack. Over two months small wear and tear of that nature caused the rod to develop a flaw. Inevitably one day a fish took my bait and the pole snapped in two. So while the Field & Stream Inferno does have great handling and sensitivity, I would only recommend it to an angler who is very gently on his gear because the durability of this rod leaves a lot to be desired. Cheap Basically got this rod free by purchasing other items. Haven't used it yet, but it looks good for my uses. June 13, 2014

alittle to flexable I loved my red mothers day fishing pole but I did find it a little to flexable when trying to reel in a fish. May 24, 2013
