Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 52 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Decent hoop but expect wobble followed installation as instructed. dug hole and poured concrete base with anchor kit positioned exactly as instructed. 4 days later assembled hoop and finished installing hoop. the instructions were fairly easy to follow and all hoop parts seemed good quality. however i am disappointed in the wobble with this hoop. i expected some brief wobble after a shot but is worse than i expected. any shot to hoop causes continued wobble well afterward. whole backboard wobbles for continuous minute following shot.not a violent wobble but noticeable. appears 2 piece pole assembly is constructed with thinner flexing steel which probably results in the wobble. not a bad hoop for money but still disappointing. if you dont want wobble you better splurge and buy a higher end hoop such as goalrilla. i contacted escalade sports and they just told me that some "vibration" as they called it is normal with this model. also this hoop is not designed for dunking as clearly indicated by manufacturer. Rated 5 out of 5 by For the price, great! After reading some of the reviews I was skeptical about installing myself. Generally pretty handy around the house, but digging holes and mixing/pouring concrete I've never really done before. As other reviews stated, the hole was definitely the most labor intensive. It really wasn't that bad, but it required the most work of the process. Regular old shovel, a spade, and a post hole digger. I took another reviewers advice and added more rebar. Don't know exactly if it's necessary, but figured it couldn't hurt. I drove in 3 rods of 1/2" - 4ft rebar. Left them about 2ft out of the bottom of the hole. After beginning the concrete pour I used the rebar that came with the hoop. I didn't use concrete forms. In hindsight I should've. It would have made for a nice flat top of concrete. It seems that after shifting around the base plate to get level, I created a low point in the center. Not the end of the world I would guess. I let the concrete cure quite a while only because we went on vacation. The pole assembly just required some attentive reading. Another review recommended greasing the bottom pole to slide the top pole over. I did that and had no issues with getting the top pole to the recommended mark. Leveling was easy because I was overly meticulous with the base plate. A buddy helped me with the backboard, but I could see how some people would use three people for this step. We got lucky because once we set up my ladder (gorilla ladder) and lifted the backboard to the top of the ladder (he was on one side and I was on the other), the lower arm was lined up on my side. We used a scrap 2x4 on top of the ladder to push up the other end of the backboard because the driveway is on a slight slant so the ladder wasn't level. It all worked great. 2 & 1/2 hours on the hole and maybe 90 minutes on the pole/backboard. There is minor sway at 7.5' height and practically none at 10'. Use your muscles and tighten it down at the base. For $600 it's a great deal. If you want it perfect with no sway and whatever else the others complained about, go spend more. Knock yourself out. This hoop looks and plays great in the driveway. I would recommend it to anyone. July 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by So far, so good We've only had this hoop in for about 5 days, but so far, so good. As many other reviewers have said, there is a fair amount of wobble in the hoop, but it doesn't adversely affect game play or anyone's ability to have fun with the hoop. It is really nice looking, and raises and lowers easily enough for my older kids to do it. We have four daughters, ages 6-13, and they are all loving playing basketball with this hoop. We did opt to have the hoop professionally installed, using a company other than the one Dick's contracts with. I read terrible reviews about their contractor, but our installer did a great job. I do think we could have installed it ourselves, but without the professional equipment it would've taken much longer and I don't think we could've done as good of a job as the professionals did. Anyway, we are nothing but pleased with our purchase, great value for the money! June 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice hoop at a good sale price Hardest part was digging the hole. Assembly was very easy. My son commented on the perfect size of backboard. June 27, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hoop for the price This has been a great investment for our family. Our 7yr old loves it and there seems to a gathering of neighborhood kids here everyday to play. Installation was pretty easy. Spent one day digging the hole and putting the post together. One day putting in the concrete and setting the base. Finally, once the concrete cured, I installed the post by myself and attached the backboard with some help. For the backboard, it can be done with 2 people. I would recommend 3 to be safe. Some reviews mention that the hoop shakes and it does from a hard missed shot off the rim or corner of backboard. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. This is an excellent home/recreation hoop. It fared well through the winter (In NC so not too extreme but some ice and snow). It appears to be holding up well in the summer heat too. I would definitely recommend and buy again. June 23, 2016

Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy installation and works well Good installation instructions and well designed. Good performance for the price point. Bankboard vibration is acceptable for a 4" square pole. March 22, 2016
