Strong, easy to assemble, and a solid piece. Selected this from many varieties checking out Sports Authority and Dicks Sporting Goods. Price is comparitively better than other competition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lucky67 GREAT BUY!
Great buy! The ONLY thing I found was that the rebar that comes with the system could be a size bigger.( At least 1/2 inch) To make the base MORE sturdy I inserted two 1/2 inch pieces of rebar in the ground in the side walls before I poured the concrete in the ground. I also put holes in the center of the base plate and, put four pieces of 1/2 inch rebar in the center of the foundation and poured about a foot of concrete over the rebar AFTER I put the completed goal system up. I poured it at the top of the goal BEFORE I capped the unit. I LOVE GOALIATH!!!!!!!!!!....HAPPY HOOPS!!!!

I?m very happy that I bought this product instead of expensive Goalrilla and this is strong enough. The instructions were so easy to follow. I let the concrete set for 4 days as directed in instructions. On 5th day, I tried to put the pole up first and then attach the back board to it, but I found it really hard. So, I had to take pole down, attached the back board to it and lift the whole thing up. I found it easier this way. I wish I had attached backboard pads before lifting; I found it hard to drill holes once pole is up. Even though instructions say you need 4 people, it took 2 adults to hold the pole up and one more person (my 8 year old son) to put the bolts on. I didn?t try to dunk since the label on the pole says ?Don?t dunk!?. Some reviews said that the pole vibrates, but that is not the case, it?s sturdy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by RJ Easy to install, quality hoop
Install directions were easy to follow. Individual parts were labeled appropriately. Took 2-3 hours to dig hole and fill with concrete. Waited 2 days and completed install with wife(although I would recommend having 2 additional people for hanging backboard) in 2 hours. Great value- paid $499 in June 2013.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fyver Strong hoop, good quality
Just installed this hoop over the weekend, but so far so good. The installation is easy enough, but a few pointers:
1) Make sure your concrete has enough time to set (min. of 3 days)
2) They're not joking when they say 4 adults for assembly. The backboard on this set is HEAVY and you'll ideally want to two guys to hold in place while the other two set the bolts. Also helps to do this from the cab of a truck if possible.
Impressive quality and we're happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bob worth the money
I have only had the hoop up for 1 week, but it has met if not exceeded my expectations. Installation was easy enough and I find the system to be pretty stable. The stability and glass backboard create better than average shooting experience.

Not sure what the problem was for the 2 unhappy buyers...sounds like they skimped on concrete or didn't know how to install correctly. Our goal is like the rock of gibraltar....NO movement at all.....I used a lot of concrete - as its a heavy cantilevered load....no issue and we never clean the backboard glass and it looks great! Very happy (4 years now) Solid value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Robertg910 Awesome Goal
I'm not sure bout these other 2 reviews, but I've had this same system for over 5 years now and it has handled a lot of abuse. Doesn't wobble and is still level after 5 years. The light is kinda cheap but.... That's not a big deal. Great goal.
